  1. Duggan better settle down. Two attempts, two open receivers, two incomplete passes on misfires.
  2. I hope TCU can keep it interesting but I expect UGA to roll.
  3. I don't care about the process. Just get me a great coach. If you fail I will mock you and your process in retrospect.
  4. I wouldn't say droves. Where were they drafted? Now how do you expect to get one of those guys after making a trade up to get a QB?
  5. Teddy played six games in N.O. He had his best sustained play here. Go ahead and trade DJ but I'll tell you how it ends. It ends in howling and crying about how our new franchise QB has nothing but trash to throw to and we're stunting his development. And the howling and crying would be correct, but a lot of the same folks doing the crying and howling would be the same folks who thought DJ was a JAG and easily replaced. He's not. Fans of this fanbase should more than realize that good receivers don't just grow on trees. We've had very few of them.
  6. Teddy had his best play here. Darnold had his best play here. Mayfield was the only one who didn't. DJ has put up good stats despite trash at QB. It baffles me how much of this fanbase doesn't comprehend this.
  7. Yeah, that's my point. Fowler's entire argument revolved around emotion and doing what feels like it's the right thing to do based on his opinion that Wilks can prove to be the guy not that he HAS proven to be the guy. It also wouldn't surprise me if he has a pretty good relationship with Wilks and doesn't want to lose that connection with the HC of the team he covers.
  8. Wilks seems like a good guy and is a local guy. That was Fowler's whole argument.
  9. Until we find a franchise QB of our own we'll continue to have Herbert and Fields talked about. It is what it is.
  10. Pineiro is a pending FA so he'd have to be re-signed before this became a question. I'd prefer him though. Gonzalez is just too injury prone to rely on IMO.
  11. All I'm pointing out is that sometimes one draft slot REALLY matters.
  12. HC: Ben Johnson QB: Will Levis I don't want Levis but I think that's what happens. I hope I'm wrong and the guy is great.
  13. How in the hell are the Texans hanging onto Caserio? From the outside looking in he seems to be the root source of the vast majority of their dysfunction and trainwreckery. This may come to light in their HC search. "Oh, you're keeping that guy? Okay, thanks but no thanks then. Best of luck y'all."
  14. Ultimately I think the cost would just be too high. You'd have to be completely convinced that Young or Stroud is a surefire future HOFer. I think they're both good prospects but I'm not THAT sold on them and hell if one was that then the Bears would be drafting him and trading away Fields.
  15. You want to trade up for a QB while trading away the only proven receiver on the roster? Yikes.
  16. Hopefully focusing on the HC search. But according to a good chunk of our fanbase, prioritizing the future of the organization over cheering to win a meaningless late season game would mean that David Tepper isn't a "real fan" of the team he owns.
  17. I honestly think he was a 3rd round type prospect before the injury. Afterward, I think he's probably a 4th or 5th rounder. Hate it for the kid. Seems like a great guy. I just don't think he's a great NFL QB prospect and now he's coming off a serious knee injury that will likely see him on IR for his rookie season.
  18. Seeing how Wilson and Watson looked for their new teams after being the centerpieces of huge trades and owners of shiny new massive contracts, I think I'm all the way out on trading for Lamar. If a team is willing to part with a franchise QB it has to be seen as a massive red flag. Granted, Watson's red flags were whipping in the wind for all to see.
  19. Wow. If he isn't even willing to interview with them that's as big as red flags get. What a fuging trainwreck of an organization.
  20. Typical Rivera offense. Run 1st down, run 2nd down, throw on 3rd and long then if you do somehow build a decent lead go ahead and run on 3rd and long too. Howell bailed them out on several third downs. A couple running, another on a though cross body throw while scrambling. Should've connected on another deep bomb but the receiver let up for some reason, ball was a dime. Another 3rd down McLaurin dropped a perfectly thrown ball at the sticks where he had room to run to boot. Made some good decisions with a couple of throwaways and sliding when scrambling. Only really bad play was a pick in the endzone. Ron addressed that and basically said Howell tried to finesse it instead of sling the thing like he knows he can do. It was a low percentage shot that should've been to the corner where either his guy got it or no one got it. He looked damn good from a traits perspective. The arm talent looked damn good on an NFL field vs. starters. The wheels looked good. The Commanders have something to work with. Wish we did
  21. It's just PFF-esque brain rot IMO. I just watch football. I don't really care about whatever arbitrary rating someone or some system comes up with. My eyes told me Rodgers didn't look good tonight and he threw a god awful late INT that cost his team the game.
  22. That would be an indictment of the QBR algorithm
  23. He has the best physical tools at QB in the draft. It comes down to the interviews and background checks for me. If you think the kid is coachable and has the right mindset, draft him. Yeah, he's boom or bust. But I'd much rather take a chance on a talent like him than draft a Mac Jones or Kenny Pickett.
