  1. If we're taking a Georgia defender I'd prefer Walker. I have some questions about him as a pure edge kinda like I did with Micah Parsons coming out of Penn State but like Parsons, I think the guy is just a football player. Put him on the field and he'll figure it out. Draft him to play edge and if it doesn't work out then make him a versatile off the ball LB who is an above average blitzer. It's not like we don't have plenty of need at both areas. I watch quite a few UGA games and it's always Walker who is the front seven player in that defense who jumps off the screen.
  2. His "highlights" are horrifying. Like these are the HIGHLIGHTS??? These are his BEST plays? You gotta be kidding me...
  3. The 40 is the single most overrated measurement in football. It's a rarity on a football field that you get to take off and run in a straight line for 40 yards completely unimpeded. Something really good or really bad has happened to create that opportunity. All the 40 is really doing is giving you an indication of a player's long speed. The quick but not fast guys will have good 10 and 20 yard splits but run of the mill 40 times and they'll shine in the three cone and shuttle drills which are honestly a lot more indicative of "football speed" than the 40. Then there's processing speed. That mid-4.6s LB might play "faster" than a 4.5 flat guy because he processes the information on the field faster. He's already getting into step two before the 4.5 guy has started moving.
  4. Well, we got absolutely red hot. Hopefully we can keep it up for six more games. LOL
  5. Bad news... we're on pace for about 50 turnover. Good news... somehow we're still up 4. LOL
  6. Withers picking up right where he left off. Immediate awful turnover. Just Sam Darnold'ed right to the other team.
  7. Pretty sure he readily identified the Ravens' best "receiver". LOL
  8. I guess there's no point of trying to put up smokescreens or mislead teams when you're about to draft someone they didn't have on their board until another 20+ picks go by. LOL
  9. I mean, he's 250 pounds. He's not undersized for a 3-4 OLB type and honestly only marginally undersized for a 4-3 weakside DE. it's about mentality. Rushing the QB is the fun part of the job. Setting the edge against the run requires a lot of want to. He just never seemed all that enthusiastic about wanting to do that part of the job.
  10. I'm fine if it plays out that way I just hope we don't go into the draft with any firm blueprints. If a pass catcher is the BPA then draft him.
  11. I was fine with the sack numbers if he'd been better setting the edge against the run. But it hurts having a huge money guy who is such a liability in certain key aspects. You want those pass rushers to get teams off the field on 3rd and long but if they're getting it ran down their throats so you struggle to get to 3rd and long it kinda defeats the purpose.
  12. Here's a pre-draft hot take... Jaxson Dart is going a lot higher than a lot of people expect. Possibly QB2. Possibly top 10.
  13. Hopefully someone falls in love with him. Seems like classic Jerry Jones behavior. I'll take #12 and #44 for #8 ALL DAY and even toss them back #111 or #114 if I had to.
  14. Yeah, trade down is honestly my preference. Just going purely off the draft chart, we could move down to the #15/16 range for #15/16 and #47/48 for #8. If we wanted to throw in one of our 4ths (#111/114) then we could conceivably be looking at moving down to the #13/14 and #45/46 range. All I know is that it's going to be a loooooong wait from #8 to #57 and I don't want us to start getting antsy with future picks as a LOT of prospects we like come off the board.
  15. What's most weird is that the Pats took a QB at #3 and now have hired another defensive minded HC who is loading up on D and leaving his young franchise QB to deal with trash on offense. They're following the Panthers' blueprint with Cam.
  16. Well, the 4th WR off the board last year had nearly 1300 yards and 10 TDs as a rookie so is this supposed to dissuade me?
  17. If the Pats go defense after spending heavily on D in FA and leave that OL in shambles with no receivers in considering telling my agent to demand a trade if I'm Drake Maye. Like... damn.
  18. He was a good speed rusher and good on pursuit against the run. He pretty much sucked at everything else. Luckily for him his strength is what gets you paid and teams will overlook the flaws if you can put the QB on his back.
  19. That's what they claim about Scourton. That he bulked up this year and it hurt him. Which could be true. He had 11 sacks last year. The thing with Stewart is that he's never produced so I do have my doubts about that narrative.
  20. I like T-Mac as a prospect but I also definitely don't think that he's a legit mid-4.4s type. If he could legit run a 4.48 he would've done it at the Combine. Him posting 4.48 at the Combine would probably make him an absolute top 10 lock, maybe even a chance to go top 5. Everyone always runs faster at their Pro Day. Hell, remember when Funchess ran 4.7 at the Combine then magically ran a 4.48 at his Pro Day? Devin Funchess was NOT a 4.48 guy.
  21. I hope we actually throw a pump fake this year and do something unexpected but for years now our first round picks have been highly telegraphed and the more head scratching the prospect we love is, generally the more accurate the rumors of smoke.
  22. Pro Day 40 times are notoriously optimistic. Usually safe to add a tenth to this numbers but mid-4.5s still checks the box for T-Mac.
