Yeah, I'm not trying to knock Stroud's arm strength but Fields is a different level.

I honestly don't think the arms are similar. I think Fields' pure arm talent is significantly better. Stroud checks the box but Fields has an elite arm.

It definitely makes it a tougher evaluation IMO but it is what it is. Most of the top talent is gonna be on the elite teams, that's why they're elite.

Your rationalization leads to drafting Stetson Bennett. Just say who you like and who you don't because your logic doesn't flow.

But his team lost so that means he sucks. By this rationalization we need to sell the farm for Stetson Bennett. That guy's teams beat the poo out of everyone with him putting up big time numbers. Obviously the future GOAT.

I watched Stroud keep OSU highly competitive against a significantly superior UGA team. Period. Seems like the goalposts of rationalization move based on whether or not you like a prospect.

Mahomes was 16-21 as a starting QB at Texas Tech. Who cares about team records when you're looking at individual prospects? We aren't looking to draft the team we're looking to draft the player. Watch the player not the team.

I don't think Fields slipped due to struggling against good defenses. He ripped Clemson a new one and Clemson probably had the best defense in the country that year. I think it was concerns about his processing.

Fields is the much better athlete. Stroud is the much more polished passer. There wouldn't be a comparison between the two if they didn't go to the same school. They're not very similar as players.

Hurts looked like a guy who needed a position change at Bama. It's hard to judge Lincoln Riley QBs. Everyone he puts on the field puts up video game stats in Heisman worthy campaigns.
