  1. One of cube's best known tracks but not some of his best work IMO.
  2. Don't be surprised if Jeremy Chinn is that purchasing power.
  3. There's honestly no point in double digit draft picks. It's fun for mock draft purposes but your roster is trash if you have double digit rookies on your 53. 6-8 seems like a reasonable number to shoot for. If you have more, you should probably be packaging picks to move up. If you have less, you should probably consider trying to slide back to get more picks.
  4. This. It's past time for us to actually fully commit to a QB. Tossing in second and third tier vets while primarily focusing on building a D produced the results on offense one would expect out of that approach.
  5. You're deluding yourself. That's when the fanboys and haters both double down. There will be blood.
  6. Floors and ceiling kinda feel misleading to me because I reality any of these guys can boom or bust well above or well below what most people would predict. But... Young: Ceiling = Drew Brees Floor = broken in half in a full body cast Stroud: Ceiling = Joe Burrow Floor = Mac Jones Richardson: Ceiling = Cam Newton Floor = Akili Smith I think he's total boom or bust. I see no gray area.
  7. I don't disagree. He looked great in the UGA game but it was really the only time he excelled when pressured.
  8. Honestly, the game that concerns me with Young is this year's LSU game. They really focused on speeding him up and trying to muddy the field in front of him. They brought a lot of pressure up the middle that oftentimes seemed more about just clogging throwing lanes and limiting his ability to climb up in the pocket than actually getting sacks. And it worked. When the field was muddy in front of him it usually produced a poor result. That's what NFL DCs are going to do to him. Sure, you can roll him out to combat that but that's cutting your field in half because he ain't got the arm to throw cross field in the NFL. That's going for six the other way.
  9. You're getting blown out and talking poo. Not a good look. They lost 35-3. I don't care about "keeping it real" in the poo talking and barking. I care about how you respond with your play.
  10. Odds aren't about predicting results as much as they are about spreading their liability. They want money relatively evenly spread out across their liabilities.
  11. I would've agreed with you in college. But he sure showed it against the Chargers in the 2nd half of that playoffs game. Dude played one of the worst halves of football I've ever seen a QB play at any level in the 1st half and bounced back to win. Sure, it was heavily aided by the Chargers going soft as fug both offensively and defensively, but still. To keep your head about you and bounce back after a half as atrocious as his 1st half... I was impressed. And I've never been big on Lawrence.
  12. They're both good looking prospects IMO. I think Sanders has more positional versatility. I think he can play off the ball or rush off the edge. Campbell seems more like a classic off the ball LB, just jumbo sized. Given that, I'd take Sanders between the two but I think Campbell is gonna be a good pro and it wouldn't shock me if he ends up being the better of the two.
  13. No, they weren't. But they had good arms. Better than Young's. That's all I'm saying. It's pretty much just the top 5 arm guys who are known for their arm strength. You gotta be leaving smoke trails.
  14. Yeah, I don't blame the kid. It's up to the teams to evaluate the info they have.
  15. Sure. Let me whip out my scientific arm strength meter. Believe what you want. But go back and watch those guys in their prime before you further delude yourself. You're in love. That's cool. I remember my first crush. But you're not being rational or objective either.
  16. I don't blame 'em. This game takes it's toll on you and the elite guys make BANK. He should be set for life several times over.
  17. I'd prefer a pass catcher, pass rusher, or pass defender at that spot. Basically WR, TE, EDGE, or CB. There should be some good options available. Take the best one.
  18. I'm wondering if some of our '24 class might be reclassifying to come early. If not I'm not certain we'll see them in Chapel Hill because Hubert might get himself fired in the meantime.
  19. I was watching the end of a high level HS game on ESPN2 and when are HS and college coaches gonna realize that scoring is way down across the board at those levels and way up in the NBA? Everyone at the lower levels wants to run the same type of spread iso offense as the NBA but without NBA talent. The result is a lot of ugly, low percentage shooting, low scoring games.
  20. Burrows last year is the best season I've ever seen in college football. Absolutely ridiculous.
  21. Just be honest. If all their QBs hit their athletic ceiling who has the most potential? I'm not saying to draft AR over Stroud and Young. I don't have enough info to say I'd do that. I'm just saying if he has what it takes between the ears to maximize his athletic potential he's gonna be the best QB out of the bunch. Using your logic, you would've ran away from Josh Allen. Hell, at that time I would have too. But watching how much that guy improved with better coaching and a better supporting cast changed the way I view these types of prospects. It all comes down to what you think they have between the ears and how coachable they are and how hard you think they're willing to work at their craft. Yeah, AR has the highest potential ceiling of the bunch and I honestly don't even see it as debatable.
  22. Ron and Shula. Shula has never had another OC shot for a reason and Ron has never accomplished anything without Cam. We had an absolute stud and rode him into the ground. It is what it is.
  23. They're a year older with a lot more game experience. I'm not pounding the table for AR. I have no idea how I'd evaluate him because all the question marks all have to do with the things us fans have minimal insight into. In just saying that yeah, there's an easy case to be made for how he becomes the best NFL QB of the bunch.
  24. I don't. Well, his arm is probably comparable to the AARP version of Brady and the Frankeneck version of Manning, but all those guys had better arms for the majority of their careers.
