  1. I like Stroud. I'm just hashing out the for/against arguments. I accepted quite awhile ago that there's no such thing as a "can't miss prospect".
  2. Love Downs but I honestly think I'd rather have one of the top TE prospects at #39. I'm just concerned about his durability at the NFL level. He did t miss many games at UNC but it seemed like he was always dealing with some type of lingering limiting injury.
  3. Nobody cares about this poo anymore. The best thing that ever happened to the Oscars is Will Smith slapping Chris Rock because it's pretty much the only publicity pop they've gotten in a decade.
  4. I don't buy the collusion thing. If teams still thought Lamar was a MVP caliber QB who could be relied on to stay healthy, someone would break ranks and go get him.
  5. Teams don't want to negotiate a deal for the Ravens. I doubt anyone is willing to give Lamar a contract that they don't think the Ravens would happily match.
  6. OBJ still thinks it's 2016. In hindsight the Giants were brilliant to trade him when they did.
  7. As of right now on paper it is. The FA WR market is pretty much trash. It's going to be interesting to watch.
  8. It's a really weak FA WR class. Hence why the Bears wanted DJ Moore in the deal.
  9. Erving wasn't even versatile. He was a LT only. He was just backup only caliber by that point.
  10. Yeah, we really overpaid for some marginal players.
  11. Yeah, there really should be an OT tag and an IOL tag.
  12. Y'all must've forgot that Elflein is not a good starting OL. His value is as a versatile backup who can play any of the interior OL positions. The issue is that he doesn't play any of them particularly well.
  13. Clock is ticking loudly for Bozeman. If we lose him after trading DJ we are really putting ourselves in a hole to try to build an offense around this QB we're going to draft.
  14. I don't really care about a "true #1". Seems like according to most Panthers fans there's always only a handful of true number ones in the league and everyone else is just a "good #2". A "true #1" is a borderline mythical creature according to Pantherdom.
  15. Yeah, I'm anxiously awaiting what we do at WR. Because right now we might have the worst WR corps in the NFL on paper. That's not exactly setting up your highly drafted rookie QB for success.
  16. Really? Williams is listed at 6'1" 216 and pretty much looks that on the field IMO. That's still obviously not ideal.
  17. If he was 6'3" 220 he'd probably be considered a Luck/Lawrence caliber no brainer type #1 overall prospect. But he's not. He's not even close. Kyler Murray went #1 overall at similar size but Murray is also one of the fastest guys on the field every time he suits up. That's not Bryce Young. Murray also LOOKS like he's 200+ pounds. He's built like a RB. He's a solid dude. Young's 204 pound weigh in was honestly shocking. The guy looks like he's 180 pounds at MOST. If you just saw him walking in and had no clue who he was, you'd be thinking okay... that dude is either a slot WR or nickelback or he's a kicker or a punter. That's the only spots this dude can possibly play.
  18. Yeah, there's a reason why the Bears wanted DJ Moore in this trade. Weak FA class and a weak WR draft at least in terms of elite prospects. Not sure there's a WR available that warrants top 10 consideration but I do like the depth of the class. The Bears will likely go pass rusher with #9 and then add another WR in the 2nd or 3rd. We should also be looking for WRs in that range.
  19. Oh, he stands out athletically for sure. He's definitely one I'm intrigued to see what he develops into. Maybe he'll just be another Swole Bones. Or maybe he'll be another Greg Hardy. On the field that is. Hopefully not that other stuff.
  20. Oh, Barno is gonna be a rush OLB in our new system if we're running a legit 3-4 scheme. Backups play too.
  21. Ideally he should be playing as a cover 3 SS a la Kam Chancellor in the old Legion of Boom in Seattle. He was made to play that role. But we've indicated we plan to play a two deep shell. Playing Chinn in a primarily over the top coverage role is just a waste IMO. If that's the type of D we want to run and we don't see him as a LB then we should honestly entertain trading him.
  22. I've honestly just ignored the DJ talk. Anyone shitting on DJ just isn't very smart. I wish him nothing but the best in Chicago and honestly hate that we had to give him up.
  23. I fully expect us to draft either Stroud or Young and honestly I'm fine with either. If Young was the same size as Stroud I don't think there would be any debate. But he's not. If Young was 6'3" 220 I'd be pounding the table for him. I think both guys can be elite NFL QBs, but I do question Young's ability to hold up over time at his size. As such, I do slightly lean toward Stroud but like I said... ultimately I'd be just fine with either and can fully understand a case to be made either way.
  24. Just depends on FA for me. This TE class is STRONG. The strength of the class on paper is edge rushers and TEs. We desperately need TE help. Given that it'd be a shame not to come out of this draft with one of the top TE prospects. But landing a legit starting NT there would certainly not be a bad thing. I like McCall and he was a pleasant surprise last season but I'm not sure if I like him enough to feel comfortably with him penciled in as the starting NT. And then if Brown is your starting NT that means that you're in desperate need of ends.
