  1. That's the sucky thing. There's a lot of guys on all 32 rosters who bust there asses and are loved by the coaches who just simply don't have the prerequisite talent to hack it in the NFL. Every coach at every level has guys they wish they could take the talent from this slacker and give it to this guy who busts his ass and just isn't nearly as naturally talented.
  2. I think anyone paying attention this preseason realized that there were gonna be quite a few guys on our week one roster that weren't on our preseason roster. My pipedream that hopefully better coaching would reveal there was more talent hidden in this roster than we realized got shattered pretty quickly.
  3. I'm still just baffled how the NFL thought that Howell couldn't play because he lost all of his offensive playmakers. Like they just completely forgot about his prior two seasons in college. Hell, most UNC fans didn't even know that Howell could run until his final college season because the staff didn't want him running because they weren't comfortable with the depth behind him.
  4. Meh, I have no personal ill will toward the guy. I mean, if we're playing our #3 QB we're already fuged anyway so whatever.
  5. What did my dumbass do? I haven't had my second cup of coffee this morning so I'm operating at a level that I shouldn't be attempting any form of communication yet.
  6. Works for me. We gave up virtually nothing and Bieniemy should be familiar with him.
  7. Well, gotta give them credit. They really nailed the "error" part.
  8. All I'll say is that I wasn't exactly happy about Howell landing with Rivera. I liked that o saw a clear path to him being the best QB on the roster pretty early on, but I didn't trust Ron to A) recognize that and B) develop him as an NFL QB. I hope Bieniemy wasn't just a product of Andy Reid.
  9. Howell's scrambling ability and Ron's hot seat status combine to make me nervous. God knows Ron will run a QB into the ground. Washington has a much better receiver corps than Cam ever did but that OL has some serious questions.
  10. He didn't name Cam as the starter until right before the regular season IIRC.
  11. If Heinicke hadn't come to Ron and basically forced his hand to play Howell there's a 100% chance Washington goes into this preseason with Jacoby Brissett penciled in at starter and unless Bieniemy threw a fit demanding Howell there's a good chance Ron sticks with the vet. It's just the way of the Ron.
  12. It says everything when the guy who was supposed to be starting at QB that week has to come to you and basically say, "Listen, this kid has been tearing it up in practice all year long. You really need to give him a shot. I'll be happy to back him up."
  13. Good old Ron. "Muh vets" is alive and well.
  14. We gave out the biggest FA RB contract this off-season. I'd be SHOCKED if we were in these discussions.
  15. If that's the number I'm gonna just wait and see what he does in the new defensive scheme. Maybe he blows up and it costs me $35M per after the season. Or maybe he plays about the same in which case I'm thinking, yeah he's good but can I blow my salary cap up for "good"?
  16. He's a really athletic FB. Unfortunately for him the FB position has largely gone the way of the dodo. Very few teams carry a dedicated FB. Most just have a TE on the roster who can fill in at FB in the few formations they have in the playbook that calls for a FB.
  17. Little wouldn't have even made a good bullfighter. He didn't get close enough to the bull. He's more like a rodeo .
  18. Fasting works for me. I don't know what it is but I don't get hungry until I eat. If I eat breakfast it's like I'm starving all day long. I can't eat enough. I eat one meal a day during the week. Dinner. That's it.
  19. He at least looked promising for a bit. Little always looked like a turnstile.
  20. Thus far in his career YGM has basically just been a warm body on the roster. He hasn't been a massive liability on the field but he hasn't made any plays either. He's the type of guy you should be actively shopping for an upgrade IMO.
  21. All wrapped up except for staining the new wood. I'll post some pics later. Meanwhile, my wife has me questioning my own interpretation of reality. We had guests over last night and she was proudly boasting of the work that "we" did. Now granted, I was probably on the borderline of heat stroke most of the time I was working on this stuff but I am convinced that I was working alone. Not once do I recall so much as the offer of help. But again, that could just be my own faulty interpretation of reality through the fog of heat exhaustion because she was pretty convincing that "we" did it.
  22. They hired a good buddy of mine to revamp their menu a few years ago. He made damn good money doing it but they basically took his ideas and cheapened the fug out of them so it all ended up sucking anyway per usual.
  23. Yeah, the contract reflects the expectation. Sure, we're HOPING he stays healthy and gives us 17 games of great WR play. But I don't think that we're EXPECTING it.
  24. Not really worried about to be honest. I mean, anyone expecting Chark to play on over half the games is likely to be disappointed based on his injury history. We had to factor that in when we signed him.
  25. I think he'll make the initial roster but it wouldn't shock me to see him replaced by someone cut from another squad.
