TCU's D sucks too. They were the #91 ranked scoring D in the league last year, but Max Duggan and company made up for it until they ran into that UGA buzzsaw. Duggan ain't there anymore. I was kinda surprised to see them ranked in the preseason to be honest.

Alabama is the safe bet. Maye was originally committed to Bama before flipping to UNC (like Howell was originally committed to FSU before flipping). Their QB situation is still very much in flux. Mack Brown got us Sam Howell. Howell always wanted to play for UNC but the Larry Fedora crew basically didn't give him the time of day. When Brown took over and reached out it was basically a wrap. Then Howell's success as a freshman under Brown got us Drake Maye.

It's a crazy division this year. Every team has a new starting QB. Huge question marks on every roster. I don't think anyone truly knows what to expect out of this division. There's just way too many unknowns across the board and very few proven commodities.

He basically came in and told them all they suck and are losers and can get lost and that my kid is gonna be the star and center of attention and that's that. I can't imagine anyone else not getting absolutely skewered by the media for doing what he did. The guy is a POS. I hope his kid throws four interceptions and loses five fumbles today.

Yeah, Dad and I are gonna head down here in a bit. Found some decent verified resell tickets that weren't too much more than the nosebleeds still available. Turned into a big weekend. Carolina football in Charlotte tonight, Cody Jinks in Greenville tomorrow night.

The Darnold trade was always trash. We traded valuable assets for a proven trash QB. The Mayfield trade actually made some sense. We traded a 5th rounder for a guy who had actually had a decent season in the NFL and showed some promise as an NFL QB. No, it didn't work out but trading a 5th for Baker Mayfield was the best bad QB deal we made under Rhule and was a far better gamble than paying Teddy Bridgewater big money or trading legit assets for Sam Darnold.

I remember how excited we were about our super experienced OL going into Howell's final season too. Turns out those guys were totally carried by the skill position talent around them because they sucked ass and Sam spent his final year running for his life.
