The primary fixture of the Tepper era has been referring to the stupidest rationale possible as the "master plan".

I just don't know if Tepper is ready to swallow that bitter pill yet and unfortunately watching guys like Darnold and Baker bounce back elsewhere and now Daniel Jones too could be giving him the false impression that we still need to keep building around Bryce and not give up yet ignoring the reality that those other guys have a lot more talent than Bryce.

You gotta try. You absolutely cannot understand any circumstances go into next year with Bryce penciled in as the unquestioned starter. You have to at least bring in a veteran to legitimately compete. This clown show of pretending that Bryce is our franchise QB has to stop.

Yeah, it's never a good plan to go all in on doing a specific thing. Tepper was hell bent on a 1st round QB when we traded up to #1 for Bryce. The football staff correctly surmised that sitting at #9 was going to be too low in the draft order to land any of the 1st round QBs with three QBs ending up going in the top 4 picks. Being hell bent on taking a QB high in the 1st meant we were forced into an insanely expensive trade up and that has played a huge role in getting us into the mess where we currently reside. Just add a solid journeyman vet to legitimately compete with Bryce next year and then let the chips fall where they may in the draft.

Honestly, I'd take at least a third of that list over Bryce/Dalton.

I'm all in on keeping our options open. We need to sign a legit veteran journeyman in FA and then we need to keep QB on the table in the draft. If the right fit is there in the 1st, great. Take him. If not, take the BPA or listen to trade offers coming in and then try to add a developmental guy after the 1st. But we cannot go into next year still pretending that Bryce Young and the washed up ghost of Andy Dalton is the answer.

Stubbornly sticking with Chuba while someone who has never even watched football before could tell that Rio is the clearly better player right now is just baffling.

I wish we'd shop a late round pick to see what might be available, especially with the D taking a slide today facing a real offense for the first time in awhile. Should be painfully obvious that this team can't compete against non-basement dwellers with our current QBs.

Well... Sucks for the Falcons. They have a struggling young QB who has at least shown some promise but they don't even get to enjoy the rookie QB contract window because they're stuck paying Bryce Cousins on a starting QB contract.

Completely washed. We have backup caliber QB starting and a guy who should be out of the league backing him up. Oof.

At least we know now why we didn't bother to upgrade the QB room. We could've fallen backasswards into the next Jake Delhomme off the trash heap and he still wouldn't be playing.

I have no idea how this guy turned a student assistant role that was basically being the team clown at UNC into an actual media gig but I guess good for him. Not for me though, I'll pass.

How was Malachi Toney only a 3* recruit? Not even a top 50 national WR recruit. Barely top 50 overall within the state of Florida. The recruiting service evaluators sure whiffed on that one. He's currently a top 50 receiver in the country as a true freshman and trending straight skyward. I wouldn't be shocked if he's flirting with top 10 by the end of the season.

Tough to do that when you're wildly turnover prone. He's just one of those guys who looks the part and has all the tools, it just never comes together for him. Every time he has a streak of a few decent games and you think he may have possibly turned the corner he'll have an absolutely atrocious game and remind you of all the massive red flags. As he threw what should've been a pick... LOL

Forcing the Mario Cristobal interview in Spanish onto broadcast was cringe. If you want to interview him in Spanish, fine. But find a reporter who speaks Spanish. That guy sounded like the Spanish version of Brad Pitt speaking German in Inglorious Basterds. Like he'd taken three Rosetta Stone lessons and was like yeah, I'm ready to do a pregame interview in Spanish. LOL

Saying someone would be a better option than Bryce and worth a late round pick isn't what you're making it out to be. If we made a move for someone like Jameis instead I'd be fine with that too.
