  1. My main concern with Tepper is that his ego won't allow him to see that he's the problem. He probably thinks he's just made bad hires. He hasn't hired the right people to help him figure this football thing out. Once he has the right people in place to run with his analytics he'll be dominating the league as planned.
  2. I keep going back to the point that David Tepper the owner would've fired David Tepper the President of Football Operations numerous times in these past six years. He has to swallow that bitter pill and "fire" himself from his current role within the organization. He has to sculpt a new role for himself that has much less involvement on the football side of the house.
  3. My concern is all the rumors that say that Tepper has gotten rid of anyone willing to tell him the truth. He wants yes men. Until that changes I don't see our fortunes in the field changing. Whatever "analytics" Tepper has cooked up to drive decision making has failed miserably.
  4. I honestly expect us to plan to roll with Bryce again next year but bring in a Brissett or Minshew type solid vet backup to push him. I'm just not at all convinced that Tepper will allow for a legit competition that Bryce could very possibly lose to that type of vet. But I don't think you can just hand Bryce the job again without at least the show of a competition.
  5. Definitely not, but I could see a Mac Jones type rise where he ended up going mid-1st. I just think the arm strength question mark is pretty obvious and then you have the extensive injury history and age issue. It's a lot of red flags. But the guy is probably the most consistently accurate passer in college football and accuracy tends to translate. I'm definitely curious to see how it plays out for him on the next level. I honestly won't be shocked no matter how it goes.
  6. I think Georgia is DEFINITELY one of the best four. They had several key players banged up in the SEC CG that would've been healthy for the playoffs. I mean, Bama needed an absolute miracle to beat an Auburn team that got throttled by New Mexico State the prior week. The committee was just in a no win pickle when UGA lost that game and FSU won the ACC CG. They were absolutely hoping for the opposite results in both of those games then they'd have a clean slate for the four obvious teams.
  7. The elite lie their way out of poo constantly. It's the norm. My point was that's what they'll claim. That's not what I was saying happened like you were claiming.
  8. How can you read that line and still not comprehend it? That's on you, man. You're failing terribly here. I'm saying that's how this episode will be spun by Tepper, the Panthers, and probably the league. That should be plainly obvious.
  9. Read again. Maybe the third time will be a charm.
  10. Read my post again. That's not what I said at all.
  11. I think stuff like "weird release" gets overanalyzed. I don't care if a guy's form isn't textbook perfect. I care about the results. His release is plenty quick and he's plenty accurate. That's all I really care about there. My big concern with him projecting to the NFL is arm strength and what he'll look like when the talent level is more equalized. He has some of the best offensive surrounding talent in college football. His OL and receivers are top notch.
  12. I just don't think he has a laser. He's extremely accurate but there's no much velocity there.
  13. This. Helluva college QB in his sixth year as a man playing against boys but there's a reason why he's not being talked about as an elite NFL prospect. I think he's Teddy Bridgewater. Really accurate, mobility is a plus as a passer but he's not a running threat, and his arm is NFL average at best. He throws a really floaty ball that will be a problem in the NFL. I think he likely projects as a good backup/marginal starter type. His best case scenario is going late first to a good organization. His worst case scenario is going high second to a dumpster fire. It's also very possible a team like the Bucs or Falcons jump up into the late 1st to nab him and have the 5th year option on him.
  14. Hate I missed the second half. I was just wiped out. Fell asleep somewhere around halftime on the couch.
  15. Removed for what? Listen, I loathe the guy. I hate that he's the owner and would love to see him sell. But he's not gonna be forced to sell because he threw a drink. That's crazy. And that's what this will be spun as. He didn't intentionally throw a drink on anyone. He was just so passionate about his team and frustrated with the performance that he made a bad decision in the heat of the moment and unfortunately there happened to be people who were mocking them that just so happened to be in the path of the discarded beverage. Totally unintended. Like a child throwing a video game controller.
  16. If that guy would've jumped into the box and whipped David Tepper's ass I would've started raising the funds to build a statue of him out front of BOA.
  17. Good god that was maximum cringe. I couldn't make it through it
  18. Honestly, taking a QB at #33 and flipping Bryce for whatever we could get would probably be a good move.
  19. Yeah, I don't put a ton of the weight of the loss on Milroe. Their OL struggled mightily in pass protection and he was a big part of their running attack. If hey didn't have a mobile QB tonight they would've been fuged.
  20. I don't know how well Blake Corum projects to the NFL but man he's a helluva college RB. Just great vision and balance. I'm just not sure if he has the burst to do it in the NFL.
  21. Michigan's special teams have just been atrocious tonight.
  22. I'm the guy who says QBs are overprotected but that was an easy late hit OB call missed there. I mean c'mon.
