  1. Saying someone would be a better option than Bryce and worth a late round pick isn't what you're making it out to be. If we made a move for someone like Jameis instead I'd be fine with that too.
  2. He also wouldn't have gotten 30+ starts. We wouldn't all be bickering about him because he wouldn't be starting.
  3. He's definitely not a mid-tie starting QB. Mid-tier among all rostered NFL QBs maybe.
  4. Just barring non-conference teams from the playoffs would help. That way you don't have a two loss ND team that will likely end the season with zero wins over teams in the rankings stealing a big from a deserving team.
  5. Talking poo to someone about a 5th rounder while carrying water for probably the biggest bust in draft history considering the trade up is pretty tone-deaf.
  6. Yeah, the proof is in the pudding. Trying to put word's in someone else's mouth is rat ass behavior.
  7. 13-0 FSU missed out on a four team playoff because their QB got hurt. These talking points no longer work with a 12 team field even those the SEC and ACC act like their mid-level teams would dominate other conferences. The only difference in those conferences is the top 3 maybe 4 teams. The rest of them would also be also rans in the other conferences.
  8. Somebody will have to make way for a two loss Notre Dame team with zero wins over ranked teams.
  9. It would make sense. Penix hasn't been playing well and they're paying Cousins starting money.
  10. I think he's clearly the better pro prospect but GT be undefeated with him. And yeah, you gotta be on a good team. That just is what it is. Same with the MVP in the NFL. It's the best player out of the good teams.
  11. It should just be about the best college football player and IMO he's it. I think Heisman voters kinda got tired of hearing about Heisman winners not panning out in the NFL when it just shouldn't be a relevant factor at all.
  12. No, that's not what I said and putting words in other people's mouths is a rat ass thing to do
  13. People who want to see the Panthers continue to improve just want us to move on from this Bryce mistake.
  14. My concern with Howell and his career is that he may not have a backup's mentality. I think Bryce will be fine holding a clipboard and that mentality will suit him well and might lead to him sticking around a long time on the league. Backup QB is a pretty sweet gig but it takes a different mentality. And yeah, we'd be better off with Howell than Bryce.
  15. I have no idea how anyone could watch Bryce play and come to an honest conclusion that he would "make more throws than" basically *insert name of another QB on an NFL roster*.
  16. It's time to start seriously taking about Haynes King for Heisman.
  17. Yep, they're both in that good backup/mediocre starter category. If you put them in a good situation they can be effective game managers with limited upside. Put them in a bad situation and they're gonna look like how Jones has looked in bad situations.
  18. I just think defenders know he's fumble prone at this point so there even more emphasis on trying to strip him. It's not like trying to tackle a Cam or Allen or even a Maye or Herbert. You're not really worried about Bryce breaking a tackle and taking off so you're less concerned about securing the tackle allowing you to focus more on trying to get the ball out.
  19. Bryce is tied for second most in the league for most fumbles lost this season. Tied for third most total fumbles.
  20. Jones has basically looked like Purdy because Jones and Purdy are about the same level of player. The Niners were idiotic to pay Purdy like a franchise QB.
  21. The one where he piled up stats against soft zone D while we were trailing big from the hole he dug us with his turnovers and then he immediately folded like a cheap suit when we recovered an onside kick and the refs threw multiple flags to carry us down the field and we actually shockingly had a chance? Just making sure we're talking about the same game.
  22. It's almost like it depends on the quality of the individual performance. Claiming a QB "won" a game when he threw for 121 yards and 0 TDs while the D pitched a shutout and produced more points than he did is bizarre.
  23. It's a football game, not a boxing match. Trust and believe no cheeks were clapped by 121 yards and 0 TDs. Our defense dominated Penix and the Falcons offense. Our offense had 224 total yards.
