  1. I'm all for paying a coach big money. I just thought hiring an NFL lifer who is 73 years old and seems to clearly be going through some sort of late life crisis was a big mistake. All of that media attention is coming back to bite us in the ass in a big way now. It's still there, it's just focused on us being a complete clown show.
  2. Who the fug is trading anything for David Moore or Nick Scott? If I could get someone to offer a third for XL I'm taking it with no hesitation.
  3. Yeah, that was one of Cam's key messages to him. Like man, you gotta focus on FOOTBALL FIRST. All these other opportunities likely vanish if you let yourself wash out of the league. I really don't think the Panthers did him on favors focusing on him so prominently in their marketing. He was a guy coming off a less than stellar rookie season that we were hoping would make a leap but the Panthers got out ahead of themselves and treated him like he'd arrive because they saw his marketability but that hinged on him delivering on the field. Right now everyone is looking a little clownish because they put the cart before the horse.
  4. I would not advocate for the Bryce scale to be used for grading QB performance. LOL
  5. Okay, fine. I'll throw some names at you I would've considered for HC: Dan Mullen Matt Entz The portal is too deep to get into and I honestly don't pay enough attention to do it across the board but let's just stick to the key position - QB. Indiana gave Fernando Mendoza less than we gave Gio Lopez. Hell, speaking of Indiana I would've called Cignetti too. I know he's older than would be ideal but he's still a decade younger than the guy we hired and he's actually a proven winner at the COLLEGE level and didn't have to get lured back into the game off the couch.
  6. I mean, there's being a homer and then there's just being completely willingly irrational. We all have homerish tendencies when things are going well but damn... I'm not gonna delude myself into acting like dog poo smells like roses.
  7. Ever since the poor mouthing about lack of resources got tackled it's been nothing out of that guy except shitting on sports fans for having the audacity to voice an opinion about sports. LOL
  8. What? He was even worse in his 2nd start. He was ass for the majority of the game in his debut but got his act together and played well late as the Bears fell apart. He was 11/21 for 185 yards 0 TDs and 2 INTs against the Falcons that we just beat 30-0 in his second start. With McCarthy out with injury the washed up ghost of Carson Wentz hung 48 on the Bengals.
  9. The big swing was just idiotic though. You don't take a big swing on an older project who hadn't done anything in his entire college career until gifted an extra season of eligibility due to COVID. Had that extra year not happened I honestly don't know if he would've gotten so much as a shot as a UDFA. If you're going to take a big swing, at least take it on a younger prospect who hasn't put four years of looking like ass in college on tape.
  10. Yeah, I don't know if you're competing for SBs with Sam Darnold but you're obviously a helluva lot better with Darnold than the current version of McCarthy. And yeah, I'm saying this as a fan of the team that tossed aside both Darnold and Mayfield so glass houses, rocks, and all that jazz.
  11. The most frustrating thing is that the majority of the Huddle can see most of these mistakes coming as they're happening. It's just frustrating when a bunch of crayon eating casual football fans can see what a professional football organization keeps missing.
  12. The only advice that guy needs right now...
  13. If McCarthy keeps looking like this they're going to regret giving up any future draft capital to put a bandaid approach WR on the last legs of his career out there for him.
  14. It's hard for dudes in the trenches all of a sudden going up against grown ass man strength with everyone on that opposing OL having a deeper bag of tricks than they do right now.
  15. Aaaahhh... Bowls??!!! Don't talk about... bowls?! You kidding me??? BOWLS??!! I just hope we can win a game... another game.
  16. I think he'll be fine in the long run. I remember Derrick Brown getting pushed around like he was on skates at first.
  17. Maybe he has an upset tummy after eating too many of those BOA sandwiches made out of smashed raccoon assholes and ground possum taints or whatever.
  18. I mean, he's not wrong. Ain't no way an interim HC desperately trying to get the job long-term would've parted with CMC if he had any say in the matter.
  19. Stop. In his best season his starting WRs were the #12 overall pick and a 2nd rounder. His starting TE and RB were drafted in the 3rd. That is absolutely ELITE skill position talent at the college level. The next season that was still good but a significant drop off, he still had that 3rd round TE. His starting RB would go on to be a #12 overall pick. He had another 3rd round WR at WR1. Definitely a little soft for Bama skill position talent but far from a bare cupboard, especially when you compare it to the talent surrounding most QBs at non-blue blood programs not to mention the huge gap in talent in the trenches.
  20. This recent dunking ignores the reality that the Vikings have better targets and McCarthy has been ass.
  21. I don't think Grant is ever going to be a guy who gets good PFF scores. He's not a pass rusher and his pass rush score will probably always drag down his overall score.
  22. Please no. This track would put the areas hardest hit by Helene right back in the bullseye. Nowhere near the amount of water as Helene but plenty enough to cause issues for areas still trying to recover. And that would be on top of and right on the heels of the heavy thunderstorms predicted to roll through in the coming days. Wouldn't be a great situation.
  23. Yeah, he just doesn't look to have the physical makeup of a dominant NFL DL. How is that other Michigan DT looking? Because honestly when I went to go look at Graham it was the other guy who kept jumping out to me. I think Graham benefitted greatly from playing beside another legit high level NFL prospect and being able to routinely go up against single team blocks in college (a rarity for a top 10 NFL pick prospect) really helped him shine.
  24. I hate to tell you, but injured players fielding questions from the media as they recover is just part of the job as an NFL player. And he didn't seem to be "convalescing". He seemed to be confused and/or frustrated about how the situation whatever "the situation" may be is being handled.
  25. The Etienne pick sort of made sense in that RB is a position where you can often find value in the mid to late rounds and we needed some juice at returner so draft a guy who should be able to immediately contribute in the latter while developing behind proven vets in the former. Then he goes out there and looks like a guy who has never seen a punt in his life. Oh wee mayne.
