  1. Yeah he's regressed. He may need to hit the portal and try to find a different situation.
  2. Wow. I guess I was incorrect in my previous statement. It is amazing to watch someone spiking the football over a #1 overall QB being a game manager leaning on a backup RB putting up insane numbers and acting like this proves he's right about said disappointing former #1 overall pick.
  3. I'm not projecting. I'm honestly asking why the thought of making another massive commitment to Bryce Young excites you.
  4. Because it hasn't happened yet. Would I be shocked if it does? Nope. I mean, if that excites you good for you but I don't know why that would excite you. I don't think you're dumb enough to not realize that paying Bryce Young franchise QB money would be the absolute death knell to any hope of building a contender in the coming years.
  5. You're not trading for a backup QB with Bryce's contract. A top pick rookie QB contract is a great deal if he's a good player. It's still a bad deal if he's a backup caliber player.
  6. I fought sleep to stay awake just to watch that fumble on the goal line as we were going in for the go ahead score and said fug it, I'm going to bed. I've seen this movie before. I know how this ends. This bullshit of having California teams in conference with east coast teams is trash. That game probably didn't end until 2:30AM. Hell, it was 2AM at the time of the fumble and there was still 3+ minutes to play. In conference games being played into the 2AM hour for local audiences is terrible for the game. And the worst rule in football really does need fixed. Fumbling through the endzone or a fumble recovers by the D in the end zone should not result in a touch back and the ball on the 20. Fumbling through the endzone should not be a turnover. Fumbling out of bounds isn't a turnover anywhere else on the field. That should be the offense's ball on the one yard line. If the D recovers it in the endzone it should be the D's ball on the one yard line. Everyone knows this and everyone talks about it so just fix it already. If Cal was getting the ball at the goal line instead of out to the 20 I would've kept watching. That's a completely different scenario than the ball at the 20.
  7. The people complaining about our pass protection aren't watching other games. At worse our OL is at least an average pass protecting OL. NFL pass rushers are good. This ain't Alabama where you can hang out behind an OL of future pros protecting against future Amazon warehouse workers.
  8. No amount of sitting or aging is going to fix Bryce's lack of physical ability. This was the concern about Bryce. The plus side was that he was supposed to be super NFL ready. The downside was that his ceiling was relatively limited and that he might already be about as good as he's ever going to get. And now we have Panthers fans trying to pretend like he was some type of project.
  9. I understand that UNC paid Gio Lopez but good grief he's ass cheeks. We've seen more than enough to move on from this mistake already.
  10. I just don't understand why a blue blood would even entertain Rhule. He's never beaten good teams and that's because his teams can't score. You can't beat good teams if you can't score.
  11. The Belichick disaster can't end soon enough. I feel like both of my college and pro teams are being absolutely held hostage right now.
  12. Beck just can't help himself. Threw another pick. LOL
  13. Beck is ass and the refs just massively bailed him and Miami out with an absolutely bogus roughing the passer flag thrown well after the play was over and the ball was picked.
  14. I wouldn't care about it if I didn't think it would play into the Panthers' decision making process. It is what it is. We made a colossal mistake. I just hope we don't allow the hesitation to admit that colossal mistake lead to another one.
  15. This is almost as bad as putting mustard sauce on BBQ.
  16. This is a very fair point. Virtually no one who has been as bad as Bryce has been gets this many starts and he's gotten them because of the massive investment we made. And I said the investment made is irrelevant but honestly it isn't. It should be but it won't be. Not in terms of the thought process. Not picking up that option would be admission that we made a huge mistake and that's a tough pill to swallow. If we hadn't made that investment there would be ZERO thoughts put toward giving Bryce another $30M guaranteed. We're stuck in the rut of sunk cost fallacy. A finance guy like Tepper should be able to clearly see it but human emotions and ego are what they are.
  17. It's irrelevant in terms of the decision to come but it's tiring listening to fans talk about the guy as if he was some mid-round pick drafted to be a backup. No, this guy was drafted to be the face of the franchise and an elite franchise QB. I honestly don't think there's any fans left delusional enough to think that will still pan out. The new cope is that he can prove to be consistently mid and that we can build a great team around him. The problem is that is purgatory. A consistently mid QB is still going to sign a contract that's one of the top 20 highest deals in the league and leave you hamstrung to put the type of roster around him that he needs to succeed.
  18. Do you honestly think we traded all these assets to draft Bryce #1 to get a guy who peaks at mid-tier game manager? Hell no. We thought we were getting Patrick. Now plenty of us pointed out all the red flags in Bryce's measurables and play style as to why that wouldn't be the case but alas...
  19. But we're not talking about 90% of QBs in NFL history. We're talking about a guy who we traded a fortune for to draft #1 overall. It's about whether or not we pick up his 5th year option. Any thoughts of a long-term contract should be completely off the table. You can honestly get Bryce Young level play from a journeyman vet backup and it'll cost a lot less than his 5th year option. Can't wait to see the Bryce stans blaming our RBs when they aren't going for 200+ yards to carry Bryce and he regresses.
  20. Well, fug it. Offer them a 5th rounder or something. I'd rather do that than pickup Bryce's option.
  21. "They're playing the way they have to play with Bryce Young at QB." Some of y'all need to listen to that about 30 times in a row.
