  1. Having nothing else at safety is the concern. We paid big money to a run support safety. But we have nothing else at safety. Don't be surprised if he ends up playing primarily as a deep safety like Chinn did simply because we have nothing else.
  2. Wharton and Moehrig both have huge bust factors as free agents IMO.
  3. Welp, it's official. I'm fuging old. I have no idea who most of those people are. Rod Wave? Rich Homie Quan? Gunna? Lil Baby? QT7 Quanny? Literally never heard of these people.
  4. Can anyone show me this guy actually beating a block? Everything I can find is just him running past or through a blocker overwhelming him with sheer physical talent. I haven't seen anything where he uses any technique. Even then, half of his "highlights" are him having a clear path to the ball but yet basically just running seemingly blind in the general direction and not even coming close to making the play. I just don't see a football player. I see a world class athlete who just happens to be running around in a football field.
  5. Hell, knowing us we already have a shitty deal agreed to with someone as long as their guy is still on the board. Now we're just greasing the skids ahead of the blowback they know will come. That would be par for the course for Tepper's Panthers.
  6. For the record, I don't think either work out long term as starters. But I think Dart has the considerably higher ceiling. I just don't see anything about Sanders' playing style that is going to work in the NFL with his physical tools.
  7. When I watch Sanders play I just don't see it. Not as an NFL prospect. He just looks like the typical "good college player that doesn't translate" to me. I don't see any physical trait that's above NFL average without the mental acuity that Bryce showed against far better competition. I think he was largely carried by Travis Hunter.
  8. A lot of the speculation about our potential trade down opportunities has swirled around Sanders and Jeanty but could it actually be Jaxson Dart that gives us that opportunity? https://x.com/NFLonCBS/status/1915404791410249807?t=Vwm1R_wJLQ7QtZ6HYKBD0w&s=19
  9. True but the narratives this year set the table perfectly for the smart teams to fleece the dummies.
  10. I don't even mind taking an offer that's somewhat less than traditional value I just don't want us to get absolutely fleeced and take a trade offer that would more closely align with the value of a pick on the mid to late teens. If that's the best offer on the table, trust your scouting and take the BPA on your board. Coming across as desperate to move down kinda feels to me like we're a little shook by our recent drafting struggles and we aren't trusting ourselves to pick the right guy. Which is understandable but damn, if that's the case we're already cooked.
  11. I'm fine with putting a for sale sign on the pick and making it known that we're fully willing to entertain offers. I just don't want us to operate like we're on the verge of being foreclosed on. We don't need to panic sell if the price isn't right.
  12. I think it would probably be more like #12 and their 3rd for #8 and I would still be intrigued by that. My concern is more a long the lines of moving down to like #20 for just an extra (later) 3rd. Fug that. You gotta get more value out of #8 overall than that.
  13. I was intrigued by Richardson pre-draft but good lord after he asked to come out of the game because he was "tired"... oh hell no. We're done.
  14. I've been saying for awhile now that if there's a massive curveball coming tonight it's us drafting an OT.
  15. I really hope we've done our homework on him and didn't just recently start really warming up to him based on film and we haven't put in the work on the off field stuff. When guys with legit 1st round talent start getting straight up removed from draft boards that's as massive as red flags get. Professional sports teams are willing to look past a LOT of BS if you have the talent.
  16. And just to clarify if others aren't up to speed, you don't mean the typical injury concerns. You mean out of prison. LOL
  17. I very seriously doubt you're going to get a team to give up all their picks in the first two days of the draft. The math might work out on the chart but nobody wants to put all their eggs in one basket that hard.
  18. Honestly, probably so. I could see Walker being the prospect with the most support but far from the consensus.
  19. Just got a trust your scouting. When it's all said and done there will end up being a lot of variance on the field in the NFL between all these similarly graded prospects. The scary part for Panthers fans is our recent history of abject scouting failures.
  20. Listen to any and all trade offers and take one of the appropriate value is there. If not, draft Jalon Walker.
  21. It's a great year to be a smart team. With all the perennially dumb teams sitting in the top 10 wanting to trade down there will probably be a perennially smart team identify a guy who may not stand out from the pack from a pure talent perspective but who does stand out from the pack in terms of fitting what they're looking for at that position of need and they'll jump up the draft board at a bargain to get him.
  22. Then absolutely listen to offers. I'm not saying to don't trade down. Honestly, my preference would be to trade down with an at or near traditional market value offer. But am I willing to take late teens value for my #8 pick just to move down? Hell no.
  23. Unless the offer(s) are straight trash just seeing if you can get a desperate team to make a dumb mistake. That's the situation I fear is playing out right now.
