About midway through that game last night I realized those two teams were almost certainly playing for 2nd place.

I just don't see any plus traits he has at the NFL level. His arm and athleticism are average at the NFL level while he's undersized and no one thinks he's a Bryce Young type where they're expecting his football mind to carry him. He's a Caleb Williams type where he holds the ball forever looking for the big play except he doesn't have the arm talent and despite that arm talent and receiver corps we still saw Williams struggle with the transition to the NFL as a rookie. He's basically a backyard style QB with marginal physical talent. That's not a good combo.

I HOPE both QBs go before us but if I'm being honest Shedeur Sanders doesn't look like a 1st round QB prospect to me much less a top 10 pick.

Seems like it's rare these days for presumed top 10 picks to do much other than measure in at the Combine.

ND got away with multiple maulings early on that were definite pass interference and the DPI that setup their 2nd TD was bullshit. The refs have been pretty trash but they've been pretty trash both ways

That was a very questionable DPI call after some of the early maulings ND got away with.

I haven't been impressed with their coaching in any of their games I've watched. They're living on their talent in the trenches. Being better than your opponent in the trenches on both sides of the ball is just one helluva advantage in football.
