  1. Just a normal ACC year. It just feels horrible to you because Clemson isn't their usual self. FSU is playing the Clemson role this year.
  2. Yeah, I don't see how any rational person could interpret being called "Darnold tier" is in anyway praise.
  3. The D hasn't been much today but yeah, this OL blasts some holes in the ground
  4. I expect rule tweaks to hamper the pass rush and help the OL soon. The NFL wants consistent high scoring games and they'll keep tweaking the rules until they get it. Physical DB play was the big hurdle 20 years ago. They addressed that and it led to more and more pass happy offenses and now the OLs being outmatched by superior athlete pass rushers is the new hurdle. They'll address that soon. They're already edging that way being very liberal with false start penalties. If you watch closely, most OTs are taking off just a hair early on most obvious passing snaps. The KC RT just took it to an absolute extreme in week one.
  5. Honestly, probably so. Seems like App is always good for a big win every year. Never would've imagined JMU would be such a thing but it would be this year and App is still due one, so yeah...
  6. Oh, I agree. I doubt he was pulling rank on each and every roster call. Hell, he honestly probably rarely did.
  7. How is Louisville 9-1? Their QB is complete ass.
  8. Miami's kicker is a dog! Bro honestly should've been flagged for a late hit out of bounds on that big return but you gotta love it from a kicker.
  9. Miami's fans didn't show up but the team has so far. Miami up 14-7 over #10 Louisville early on.
  10. Wow. There is NOBODY at this Miami/Louisville game. C'mon y'all. You're 6-4 playing a top 10 team. What a pathetic showing from the fans.
  11. It really was. What a ballsy damn call that was. If that fails you are getting absolutely DRAGGED in the media. A QB draw with Steve fuging Beuerlein?! What in the hell were they thinking??!!! Well, obviously the Packers were similarly minded and it worked like a charm. The reality of coaching. You're brilliant when it works and you're a fuging moron when it doesn't.
  12. Happily. I'm ust saying the '99 season was a very significant outlier. He had pretty close to a 1:1 TD:INT ratio outside of that year. Now that '99 season, I mean that's probably a Pro Bowl nod even in today's league.
  13. Pretty much any metric that involves a completely arbitrary judgements like "highly accurate rate" and "separation" is going to be wide open for bias at the very least. Show the same set of plays to ten different observers and you're going to get a wide spectrum of opinions in terms of the level of accuracy and receiver separation in those plays. That chart posted in the original post basically just amounts to "some dude's opinion, but in graph format instead of words".
  14. He had a great season in '99 but honestly that was before I really became a fan. Can't say I actually watched many of those games. Drafting Peppers in '02 made me a fan.
  15. Tell me OL play across the league is in the toilet without outright saying it https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/the-list-of-injured-quarterbacks-keeps-growing-and-growing
  16. Air Force has been the best team in Colorado for years now. That's a sad state of college athletics affairs but it's also reality. Living in CO for 14 years after growing up in the south it's wild how much of an afterthought college athletics was in Colorado. All of the interest was from pockets of folks who moved from elsewhere rooting for teams from back home. 56-14 L against a team on a six game losing streak fits right into where the Buffs were before Deion strutted into Boulder. That's my point. Once the hype and shine wore off, the Buffs look to be what they've been for awhile now. A sucky team, just with a lot more attention on the suck now.
  17. It's fair to point out that Fitts didn't have final roster say until this year. It's also fair to say that this year's roster building process looks eerily similar to what it did before he had final say on paper and that his highest paid FA RB and TE both look like straight trash to the point that they've lost their starting roles to former mid-round disappointments. So I'm honestly not sure why people want to give him another year to make more bad moves and dig an even deeper hole. Honestly, I'll give him a pass on Bryce because I have a sneaking suspicion that was a Tepper call.
  18. It's P5 football. I'd have it on in the background no matter what. This is what Deion wanted. He booted all those kids. Went out and built a team out of the portal. He'll do the same thing again next year. It turned out to be Sam Darnold. Looked pretty good at first, but it didn't take long for teams to figure it out and expose it. Are they better NOW than they were pre-Prime? I mean, getting absolutely trucked by a team on a six game skid is pretty damn bad. People will try to say it's because Shedeur got knocked out of the game but they were already well on their way to getting blown out by then.
  19. For most of this season I've basically been watching Sam Howell on one TV while keeping an eye on the Panthers on another TV like
  20. Yeah, all the guys being talked about coming out this year won't end up declaring. NIL money changes the calculation for a lot of these guys. Hell, as the starting QB at a place like Texas you might end up making more next year in Austin than you would potentially slipping to the 3rd round.
  21. Coach Prime's squad ended up losing 56-14 to a team that has lost its last six straight games. What a transformational coach.
  22. Boy, you were on here talking ALL KINDS OF poo. Deion this, Coach Prime that, look at these STAAAAAAARS!!!!! Reap what you sow. This is what you hyped. Here it is. Soak it up. Bandwagoners are the lost annoying of all sports "fans" because this is what they do. Loud and proud but then slink away when nowhere to be seen south.
