  1. Hell, I wish they'd had the balls to put UGA in over Bama despite the SEC championship game when UGA had multiple offensive stars banged up. I mean, Bama needed a hail Mary to beat Auburn last week who was coming off an absolute ass whooping to powerhouse New Mexico State. UGA is the better team despite last night's results. So if we're doing the whole "best teams" thing let's do it full bore.
  2. The last NASCAR race I went to, Davey Allison and Dale Earnhardt finished top 3 in Rockingham. I was probably like 10. It was wonderful. I loved Davey and hated Dale and they battled it out at the top of the pack all day. The place went wild when Davey would pass Dale, even in NC.
  3. NASCAR died to me when Davey Allison crashed that helicopter in Talladega. They turned it into IROC trying to make every car the exact same. It just got boring.
  4. The SEC as a whole is largely a myth. It's very too heavy. Yeah, the top SEC teams are damn good but the rest? They're honestly no better than the other conferences. They get an artificial boost because of their conference affiliation. Just look at the SEC-ACC head to head record this year. Everyone claims the SEC is so much better but the record doesn't bear it out.
  5. This is where they truly screwed up. Once they made the decision to expand the playoffs why kick the can down the road? If there's a 12 team playoff this year problem solved. All the teams legit deserving would be there and there would be some bubble teams on the edge of the 12 howling but let's be real, the teams on the bubble of 12 don't have a legit shot anyway.
  6. I don't know how people can care about the regular seasons in NBA and MLB. People bitch about NBA players slacking and taking games off but when you look at the number of games they play and their travel schedules, you have to. You can't go hard every single night for 82 games (you're talking about potentially triple digits for teams in the Finals) with all that travel. People say well I could for all that money but I'm sorry, money doesn't overcome biology. When you're exhausted and beat up you're still exhausted and beat up, you just have a lot of money in the bank to show for it.
  7. I pretty much stopped watching the NBA about 20 years ago but those Larry Johnson/Alonzo Mourning teams were fun to watch. Once it morphed into being a no defense three point shooting contest league it just wasn't interesting anymore IMO.
  8. Is this gonna spur the death of the ACC? I wouldn't be shocked. After having the first undefeated P5 conference champ left out of the playoffs, I could see FSU and Clemson really wanting to GTFO. Clemson knew during all their playoff runs that they had zero margin for error. Other teams in other conferences might be able to get in with a loss but not an ACC team. Now their undefeated conference champ gets left out. The football powers are gonna want to GTFO and I don't blame them. Adding Cal and Stanford? Yeah, that's gonna help. Maybe Cal and Stanford of a decade ago but not the current versions. All it does is further water down the conference and make for some nightmarish travel schedules. Cal and Stanford are fuged. They're gonna be at a significant disadvantage in every conference road game traveling east giving up three hours in the time change. The NFL sees a significant statistical disadvantage for west coast teams traveling east.
  9. The committee was fuged when FSU and Bama won. No matter what they did there was gonna be a couple of teams howling and being very justified in their howling. I 100% understand why people are howling for FSU. But I'm not gonna lie, as someone with no dog in the fight just wanting to see some of the best teams in the land duke it out for the title, I had no interest in seeing FSU there. When Walker went down so did their legit chances. Did they earn the right to be there? Yeah, they did. But is the team they're currently fielding jne of the top four teams in the country? Not a chance.
  10. Yeah, all few dozen of us left sure as hell hate Tepper. Whoever said that Tepper turned the Panthers into the Hornets was spot on.
  11. The Commanders may have broken Howell. Even through all the struggles his last year at UNC I never saw his body language look defeated. He's defeated now.
  12. The NFL is gonna have to realign the NFC if the NFC South woes continue. You can't have an awful team hosting a playoff game year after year.
  13. Bieniemy very obviously came into that job simply auditioning for a HC role. In the process, I think all he's done is show everyone that him being passed over all those times wasn't a bad call. It's wild how a former RB just completely abandons the run for huge chunks of every game... with an OL that can't pass protect to save their lives. I'm not sure he'll even get another OC job. He might be a position coach after this.
  14. Secondary and OL are places where Ron just doesn't see any value in putting significant assets. Well, we've seen years of the results now.
  15. Howell ended up in the second worst spot IMO. Worst being the dumpster fire in Charlotte. Second to worse playing for Ron who we all know views QB protection as the QB's problem. Whatever legacy Ron Rivera and Jack Del Rio has as defensive coaches died this year.
  16. Their D was already last in the league when they traded away their starting DEs. Their secondary is basically 2016 Panthers bad when we had two rookies and a bunch of castoffs back there.
  17. The Commanders are legitimately one of the worst NFL defenses I've ever seen.
  18. If FSU gets in being the team that plays them in the semifinals is gonna be a HUGE advantage for someone. They immediately became the favorites to win simply by having a glorified bye to the championship game.
  19. With Travis they're absolutely a legit top 5 team. No doubt about it. Without him though? I think any of the other potentiak playoff teams handle them easily.
  20. FSU, Bama, and Texas all winning was honestly the nightmare scenario for the committee. There's gonna be HOLLERIN' tomorrow night matter what they do.
  21. 12 12 is a good number. Doesn't matter how many teams are in, there's always going to be teams with a legit argument they got snubbed from the field but if you're on the bubble of a 12 team playoff you don't have a realistic shot anyway.
  22. It's a helluva testament to Louisville's defense that they won 10 games with this offense.
  23. Honestly, it's just an unfair advantage to the team that draws them. You'd essentially be giving someone a bye to the championship game.
  24. I find it hard to believe that this guy is Louisville's best QB. Every time I've watched them he's looked like complete ass and their D has allowed them to compete despite it.
