  1. This year. Even if it wasn't the pick I wanted we had a #1 overall pick QB. That's exciting. Then we started playing. Oops.
  2. Duke Mayo Bowl in Charlotte vs. West Virginia for UNC. If Drake plays I'll probably go. Definitely won't if he sits out.
  3. Depends on FA and how the draft plays out. We need to upgrade the OL and the receivers (TE included). I'm not going to ignore defense but I'm certainly going to prioritize offense this off-season.
  4. A quip here and there is one thing. When it gets more and more and creepier and creepier that's another thing.
  5. Listen y'all, can we lay off the weird sexual stuff? Discussing Nicole's involvement in the organization is fair game. But can we just keep it there? Some of this poo is just creepy.
  6. This. If we're having an NFL conversation they weren't great prospects. Hell, I don't think anyone really tried to argue otherwise. But if we're having a college conversation they were damn good college QBs.
  7. Oof. It's getting bad for Bieniemy. The Dolphins basically just flat out saying that on their film study they figured out that their only real offense is Sam Howell playing hero ball and their game plan revolves around limiting those opportunities. “All you really have to do to defend this team is just be disciplined,” Long said via Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post. “They kind of struggle with the routine parts. When we watched them play, their best stuff was when [Sam] Howell was scrambling, or they moved the pocket and just let him try to make plays. There’s gonna be rollouts and breaking the pocket, plaster. But if you just stay on your man or find somebody when you don’t have nobody, it’s really easy to defeat stuff like that.”
  8. We. Don't. Know. Very little about David Tepper's Panthers has made logical sense.
  9. We don't know. We're all just speculating. It's all we can do. I'm just taking the organization's word on it that she has an increasing role in the organization. I mean, you're the one here who is definitively laying out how the organization works with presumably zero actual insight into it.
  10. Beyond baffling. They basically rewarded a pedestrian QB - good backup/marginal starter type - for the team winning every close game they played in while getting waxed in their losses. The team was largely winning despite their QB, not because of him. Now they're playing some UDFA rookie Jersey Shore extra and he's better than Jones (and our #1 overall draft pick for that matter).
  11. Every year I'm told this is the year they wind up on cap hell and yet every year they find a way to spend like drunken sailors.
  12. It's scrubbed. Seemingly her entire life prior to marrying David Tepper has been wiped from the internet. How I haven't searched high and low but when it became clear that she was going to have a real role within the organization out of curiosity I did a little bit of digging to figure out what her background was and what she might bring to the organization. I found nothing.
  13. I'm not sure how hard we've tried. How hard can you really coach the owner's chosen one? I bet he got coached harder by Saban at Alabama than he has been here simply because Saban ain't afraid of stepping on toes.
  14. One of the conspiracies about Nicole is of the Panthers'/David Tepper's own doing. They are quick to brag about her increasing involvement within the organization as an executive, but look at her profile. Zero mention of her professional and educational background or really any qualifications she has beyond being married to David Tepper. Just look https://www.panthers.com/team/ownership_business/nicole-tepper Now compare that to the profile of team president Kristi Coleman with all of the background info showing her clear qualifications for the position she holds. https://www.panthers.com/team/ownership_business/kristi-coleman Hell, go to Google and try to figure it out Nicole Tepper's background. It's like they've scrubbed the entire internet of any and all of her background info.
  15. This was the stuff I saw when I watched Bryce in college. Somehow all the experts saw elite mobility and arm talent. It was never there. They played themselves.
  16. This is all just stone cold fact. I got ridiculed and scoffed at all off-season for suggesting that Bryce's arm talent was NFL average at best and IMO was below average. Hell, I was wrong too. His arm talent is well below NFL average. I just don't understand how all the red flags were glossed over with this guy when draft prospects (especially QBs) are always nitpicked to death leading up to the draft.
  17. They hire and draft folks who hold a good conversation over a nice meatball dinner. It is what it is.
  18. Yeah, that was dumb. PI just doesn't get called on hail Mary plays. The one inside the five though? Yeah, absolutely should've been called.
  19. Well, as soon as I talk about KC ref protection they miss a blatant pass interference that would've given them a 1st and goal inside the 5 with a stopped clock.
  20. The ref protection KC gets is just crazy. Mahomes was absolutely inbounds on that hit.
  21. I don't agree with Collinsworth here. He's acting like taking that sack was this massive blunder. I think Love did exactly as he was told. They dialed up a play to try to get the 1st and he was told if it's not there just eat the ball and take the sack to keep the clock moving. Don't scramble around and possibly push us out of FG range. Don't throw it away and stop the clock. Eat it and keep the clock moving. After the sack they're kicking a 48 yarder. You expect NFL kickers to make 48 yarders. He lost maybe 5-6 yards on the sack. Not a huge difference between a 43 yarder and a 48 yarder and a 1st down would've ended the game. Just don't think Collinsworth did all the mental math in that one.
  22. Bryce Young was the "plug and play" pick. The "we just need a QB and we're ready to go kick some ass" pick. That's where these guys thought we were. I say this knowing full well that "these guys" honestly might just mean David Tepper.
  23. What teams would Young be starting for that didn't have a starter go down with an injury? New England? Anyone else?
  24. No one would have an issue with that trade if we'd picked Stroud. The trade up was understandable. We improved down the stretch last year and had every reason to believe that with a better coaching staff (in theory) we'd improve even more and that if the #1 pick is potentially available we need to shoot our shot because we might not have such an opportunity again in the near future. It all made logical sense. Then we picked Young over Stroud, hired this coaching staff, and now we're gonna end up handing the Bears the #1 overall pick this year, not to mention a #1 WR in DJ Moore, not to mention the 2nd rounder that was the crown jewel of the CMC trade.
