  1. Yeah, pretty baffling. They have every right to be mad but the anger is misdirected. Kadarius Toney is the dumbass who lined up offsides. Be mad at him.
  2. And Smith's ceiling was as a game managing average QB while playing for arguably the greatest offensive coach of all-time.
  3. I just don't understand how everyone could see Mac's NFL limitations and yet convinced themselves that Bryce was some kind of super processor who would be able to overcome his. This narrative that Bryce was overcoming a talent deficit at Alabama was especially baffling. It's ALA-fuging-BAMA. Bama in a down year is still absolutely a top 10 NCAA roster.
  4. 5'10" guys with subpar arms generally go undrafted.
  5. You expect a rookie to have some rough plays, bad games, missed reads, some bad turnovers, you expect them to be inconsistent. It comes with the territory. But you want to see flashes of special talent. You want to see them have some games where you're like "Damn! He looked like a legit franchise QB out there today!" It just hasn't happened. My concern is this might be the best Bryce is gonna look. Most 1st round QBs are drafted largely on potential. You expect them to get better as their experience catches up to their talent. With guys like Bryce you're expecting their experience and mature beyond their years mentality to carry them. Mac Jones was a similar guy. He threw for nearly 4k yards and 22 TDs vs. 13 INTs as a rookie. Everyone was talking about him as potentially the next Brady. Well, look at him now after the NFL has got more film on him and can better exploit his talent deficiencies. I fear it's very possible that we're seeing the best of Bryce right now.
  6. Nobody will be happier than me if the guy turns around and plays like an All Pro next year. I've been wrong before and I'll be wrong again in the future. I'm happy to be wrong if it works out in the favor of my team. It just seems about as likely as me passing David Tepper on the Forbes list.
  7. Read it and weep for the folks with constantly shifting narratives of excuses. It is what it is.
  8. It's halftime so I just went through his passing charts for the season. Here's the 20+ numbers... Week 1: 0/1 Week 2: 1/3 Week 3: 4/7 (oops, that was Dalton) Week 4: 0/0 Week 5: 1/1 Week 6: 0/2 Week 7: BYE Week 8: 2/3 Week 9: 1/1 Week 10: 1/3 Week 11: 0/2 Week 12: 0/0 Week 13: 1/4 Week 14: 1/9 According to the passing charts Bryce has only attempted 29 throws all year over 20 yards. He's gone 8/29. 8 20+ yard completions all year. Keep in mind Dalton had 4 in one game in the same offense throwing to the same receivers.
  9. Well, this was a dud. The Eagles might be 10-2 but I've been saying for awhile their luck will run out. They're a better version of last year's Giants that one every close game. They're finding ways to win a lot of games they should probably be losing. Eventually the law of averages usually catches up. Tonight they're just getting blasted though.
  10. It's a grit and bear it paycheck in the meantime for everyone here.
  11. It's pure cope. Hell, plenty of analysts are still parroting the "Bryce will be fine" mantra while at the same time admitting that his footwork is all over the place and he's missing throws he should be hitting during the game. It's like they can point out all of the bad on a play by play level but can't get themselves to take the next step and admit that this guy probably ain't gonna be fine.
  12. 1/9 on 20+ yard throws today. 9 of his 13 completions were less than 5 yards in the air. That's right. 70% of his completions were under 5 yards. That means that when throwing for over 5 yards he went 4/27 since he was a perfect 9/9 when throwing for less than 5.
  13. I think it's funny. Pretty much just confirms what we all assumed and what had been widely rumored. Tepper's Panthers is a completely miserable work environment. Everyone in the building with a guaranteed contract is just begging to get fired ASAP. Hell, everyone with the contacts to land another NFL gig fairly easily is begging to get fired at the end of the season.
  14. Many on this forum significantly overstate the struggles of our OL. They aren't good, but go watch the Giants or Commanders if you want to see TRULY atrocious OL play. We aren't the worst by any measure. Honestly, subpar OL play is largely the norm. There's a handful of legit good OLs in the league and everyone else is varying degrees of bad. It's not too early to evaluate his footwork (now that's something that's worst in the league), his arm strength (subpar at best), ball placement (again subpar), and just overall eye test performance (fail). I honestly can't see him ever being a plus player. He'll never lift a team over what you'd expect them to be able to achieve with an average QB. That's honestly starting to sadly look like his ceiling. Simply not being a liability.
  15. Welp, add the Eagles' punter to the list of guys who are better NFL WBs than Bryce Young.
  16. What are you even talking about? Who are you and when was this?
  17. Show me something. That's what I want him to do. Show something other than a random play here and there. Hit guys who are open downfield. Stop jumping like a frog when he throws. Show me that anticipation and elite accuracy I was told he had. I ain't seen poo. Honest to god there's been maybe 10-12 plays if I'm being generous that he's made all year long that I wouldn't expect practically any NFL roster caliber QB to be able to make.
  18. This is what we thought before today. Our offense sucks and we aren't even trying to go down the field we're so limited! Well, we tried today and found out why we haven't been doing it previously. It's getting harder and harder to ignore that we only had an effective downfield attack in one game this year.
  19. Sorry, man. It's just getting harder and harder to keep up with the excuses and ignore the disastrous footwork, not seeing the field, missing throws left and right, not being able to play from under center at all badly limiting our options in short yardage to go situations. It is what it is. It's pretty much impossible at this point to imagine a scenario where he doesn't have to be carried by a team.
  20. This is one of the few games that ticket holders are going to be able to get good value selling their tickets.
  21. There's nothing to throw away. The guy doesn't have NFL QB talent. Just watch backup QBs around the league flash more talent.
  22. Oh boy, my Eagles fan buddy is gonna be having a stroke right now. Refs throw a flag for holding but it's a Cowboys' TD and gets picked up.
