  1. I would've agreed with you if you had just posted this info up as an FYI, but you could've left off the "she's probably lying" part. That's a major assumption.
  2. But calling someone you don't know a liar based on statistics? That's just weak, man. We're just going to have to sit back and let this play itself out. I'm not ready to call Greg Hardy a woman beater just quite yet, but I'm not going to call a woman I don't know at all a liar based on some statistics.
  3. http://www.wsoctv.com/news/news/local/cmpd-panthers-de-greg-hardy-arrested-domestic-viol/nfwB3/ "The charge is a misdemeanor, police said."
  4. Not going to jump to conclusions here, but if this is legit, then it just makes the decision to franchise him look even worse. I would've hated to have seen him walk, but we would've ended up with a pretty nice compensatory pick next year and right now, that's looking like it would've been our best bet. Fug.
  5. You have got to be fuging kidding me...
  6. Has anyone screaming for Brandon Coleman actually seen a Rutgers football game? The guy can't play. If he wasn't 6'6" no one would know his name. Quick, name another successful 6'6" WR...
  7. Well, where is the continuity? What part of this offense looks like Chud's offense? The terminology may have remained the same, but nothing about this offense on the field looks like our previous offense.
  8. Who has said he couldn't? IMO, Rivera's decision to promote from within was as much about security as continuity. He knew he was on what was likely the hottest seat in the NFL coming into this season. Losing record, unthinkable late game meltdowns, new GM, etc. Promoting Shula meant that he would have two relatively inexperienced, unproven NFL coordinators. In short, he knew that if he got off to a slow start, there was simply no one on the staff to hand the reigns to in the event that the Panthers decided to cut the cord on his ass. If he'd hired a guy like Hugh Jackson to run the offense, there was a viable stop gap option available on his staff and that might spur the decision to just let Ron go and see if it was possible that we had the long-term answer to our coaching issue currently in house.
  9. Unfortunately, we've neither gotten competency or continuity. Shula may have been a familiar face, but this offense has no semblance to our previous offense.
  10. I wouldn't envision it working out well. Rivera is a great NFL DC, but a lousy NFL HC. College coaching is largely about recruiting. If you can recruit well, you can compete at a high level even if you aren't a great X's and O's guy. Recruiting is largely about charisma and connecting with these kids on the recruiting trail. Just look at guys like Harbaugh, Carroll, and Chip Kelly. All three were very successful college head coaches who recruited at a high level and who are very charismatic. Rivera just doesn't seem to fit that mold.
  11. Can the myth of Josh Thomas being an NFL caliber DB please stop now?
  12. If hell froze over and somehow we won the Super Bowl, Cam should go to the post-game presser, read that article, drop the mic, and walk off the stage.
  13. Anyone who thinks that Cam Newton is one of the main problems of the Carolina Panthers simply doesn't have an opinion that is worthy of reading. The problem with the media is that they're all about clicks and attention. The Panthers are a small market team and the only real way to get national interest out of us right now is trying to tear down Cam Newton. There's one way to fix that - WIN.
  14. Cool man. I graduated in '04.

  15. Does HSC stand for Hampden-Sydney College?
