  1. My Dad's side of the family are pretty much all full blown Trumpers. COVID is a hoax, it's all political. They pretty much all have a host of risk factors - obesity, type 2 diabetes, etc. etc. You know, stereotypical Trumpers. Well, my uncle just tested positive. My other uncle has symptoms and so does my 81 year old lung cancer surviving grandmother who is the sweetest soul on earth but just has no backbone whatsoever and is a total follower. She was tested today, but I'm sure she's positive. I hope she survives but she has pretty every risk factor a person can possibly have. fug.
  2. It's like that in a lot of places. I absolutely think we're building another bubble right now and it's why I sold. We're seeing a lot of pent up demand being released and it's not sustainable.
  3. We're breaking daily new case records every day now. Latest numbers are just shy of six figures at 98k.
  4. Someone in my mom's office tested positive today. Fauci said today that we may not see normalcy before 2022. Glad I sold that house...
  5. I still think I likely had it back in February/March. My anti-body test at the end of April from National Jewish Hospital (one of the top respiratory hospitals in the nation) came back inconclusive. Basically I had some anti-bodies present but not enough to meet the threshold for a positive. I either had the rona or had another coronavirus based cold that produced very similar antibodies. No way to know for sure. I developed that nasty chest cold shortly after a trip to Seattle back when they were the epicenter.
  6. Dan Forest is going all around NC campaigning. Not a mask in sight. He was in my hometown today. The local state senator was posting the pics. I'd say it would be hilarious if he got the rona except for the high likelihood that he would be a super spreader.
  7. You're not making any sense. We find them by them dying?
  8. Why do you think the majority of people are getting tested? It's not just for shots and giggles. These people are largely developing symptoms and seeking testing. The symptoms are new because they're newly sick - a.k.a. new cases. The dip in cases is directly correlated to fewer tests, it's not due to a smaller percentage of positive tests just like the increased number of tests months ago wasn't the primary cause of the rise of the number of cases since rates of positive tests also increased.
  9. If you understand data the answer is right there in the link.
  10. Remember when the increase in new cases was being blamed on more testing? Well, the data refuted that claim but here recently, the opposite has been true. The dip in new cases seems to be directly correlated to less testing. https://mobile.twitter.com/COVID19Tracking/status/1291140412711690240/photo/1
  11. The mayor of Morganton is hospitalized with COVID. https://morganton.com/news/local/morganton-mayor-hospitalized-after-covid-19-diagnosis/article_2204c978-d76f-11ea-8701-07b0b1a19a8a.html#tracking-source=home-breaking
  12. Probably not entirely, but certainly managed down to the point that contact tracing would have a fighting chance. Contract tracing really isn't all that useful for the population bad a whole when the virus is widespread.
  13. They posted that while the guy was literally dying. That's the insane level of politicization that has been achieved. What a bunch of morons.
  14. Of course Trump will try to politicize the vaccine(s) if one or more get approved prior to the election even if they don't come from the U.S. (like the Oxford vaccine). It's the only chance he has at this point. It's only people like you with room temperature IQs who buy into this type of politicization.
  15. An echo chamber of people seeking out data and qualified opinions instead of conspiracies and wild, largely baseless opinions! Agh!!!! Run away! LOL!
  16. The biggest issue with the Detroit HCQ study was that it was found that patients who received HCQ were also more likely to have received steroid treatment (dexamethasone is a steroid), potentially skewing the results and falsely attributing outcomes to HCQ treatment. For the "it's all about the money" crowd, dexamethasone is relatively cheap and is available as a generic.
  17. What is your primary motivation for that stance based on the specific parameters you laid out (4 days into symptomatic illness)? Be honest now.
  18. You would decline it? I would ask the doctor why he/she is prescribing that particular medicine. It's a question I often ask doctors who are wanting to prescribe a drug to me. Why? Why that particular medicine? Based on the Yale doctor's stance and the results of clinical trials, four days into feeling ill is likely too late in the disease process for hydroxychloroquine to make a significant difference and there are likely better options available at that point.
  19. If they don't die everything is fine, right? I mean, that's the crux of the COVID is a hoax thinking, right? If you don't die, it was minor case. Listen, I don't care if Trump was touting it or not. The bottom line is that more and more sources are lining up suggesting that it isn't a very effective treatment. A pretty extensive trial just wrapped up in Brazil and it failed. I don't think Brazilian medical professionals are likely to be swayed by pro or anti Trump motivations. Maybe there are certain conditions where it can be more effective. https://medcitynews.com/2020/07/hydroxychloroquine-flunks-phase-iii-trial-in-mild-to-moderate-covid-19/
  20. Sigh... even in your "gotcha posts" you display stunning lack of understanding. The heart issue hydroxychloroquine causes is ventrical cardiomyopathy. This can cause people to literally (as you sarcastically said) to drop dead with a heart attack. A common symptom of this issue is arrhythmia. Those people with severe autoimmune diseases that you're so downplaying who take hydroxychloroquine are constantly monitored for developing cardiomyopathy.
  21. There are clinical studies linking hydroxychloroquine and heart issues dating back to at least 2013. This isn't a new finding in the least. You really have to stop just parroting right wing talking points without doing even the bare minimum of cross checking the info.
