It's the Tennessee game all over again. Just pitiful effort. We always suck in the 1st half but usually get our act together in the 2nd half. It's just hard for this team to get right during a game because we have no creators. We have no ability to create easy shots. We run a motion offense with no motion. Defense is optional. Roy blamed himself for not being able to motivate these kids but I hope he's understanding now that he wasn't the problem. This is just a flawed roster and it's flawed primarily vat the PG spot.

You can be a scoring PG, but you gotta have vision and be able to create for others too. We don't have anyone on this roster who can. Honestly, most of our really good PGs have been good scorers in their own right. You gotta go back to freshman Kendall Marshall to find a really good UNC PG who wasn't a good scorer himself.

Nah, he just needs to figure out how to get these guys to come out of the locker room ready to go. The guards will look night and day different this half and we have to figure out how to get them to play in the 1st half. An Achilles heel of this team is that they lack a true natural PG. Love and Davis both are best suited off the ball. But that's not going to get fixed this season.

Ugh. Don't remind me of the names.

Bacot was the only Heel that showed up in the 1st half. We'll likely make a game of it in the 2nd half but I think we probably dug too deep of a hole to crawl out of. It's our guards. Our guard play in the 1st half is atrocious and has been all year long. R.J. Davis in particular. It won't surprise me if he drops 20 in the 2nd half and UK fans are like, "Wait... who the fug is THIS guy???"

It's gonna really suck come draft time watching other teams make all this picks.
-
We're the worst first half team I've ever seen. The problem is that it's really hard to beat decent teams when you wait until halftime to start playing. Hubert has to figure this out. It's been this way all season long.

Despite Christensen looking at least as good at LT as anyone else we've out there, Rhule and company seem hellbent on not playing him there. Christensen needs to be at LT and Brown needs to be at RG. Let's see what we have (or don't have) in these guys moving forward.

Article: Watson did not want the Panthers

Nor his identification and selection. Zero interest in the staff that wanted Teddy and Darnold drafting a QB. -

He did us a huge favor. Unfortunately, this is just further evidence that Tepper is incompetent. -
The biggest issue with them going for it on some of those 4th downs is that it wasn't 4th and 1 or 2. It was 4th and 5 or 6. I like being aggressive on 4° and short but 4th and 5 or 6 with an easy FG try available? Gotta take the 3 points.

What is Tepper seeing that nobody else here sees?
LinvilleGorge replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tepper is really good at running a hedge fund. He can take a lot of money and turn it into even more money. So far, that's not translating to winning football games. -
Wow. That INT. It needs to be said though. This announcing crew is straight trash.

Yikes, Mahomes! WTF was THAT???

Dabo is a college coach through and through. His strengths are recruiting and motivating. He's not an Xs and Os guy.

Running a financial hedge fund doesn't necessarily translate to football. The man seems clueless on how to run a winning football organization. -
Big swing there. Chargers should've had a TD on the opening kickoff but instead they turn it over on downs, lose their TE to injury, and then give up a TD to the Chiefs. Ouch.

Tepper eating the remaining $50M is the financial equivalent of me attending a Panthers game with decent seats and having a couple of beers in the stadium. Not exactly something he's going to feel a hit from. -

I think Tepper cares, I just think he's clueless. I hope he's willing to eat crow and admit his mistake. Then I hope he hires consultants to help him hire the next guy so he doesn't get sold by a high school coach rah rah plan. -
Classic fencing response. https://www.healthline.com/health/fencing-response#diagnosis That was a bad knockout.

Damn good match up. Winner takes the lead in the division. Chargers opened the game with a great kickoff return well past the 50. It didn't go for a TD only because the returner tripped over his own feet. Turf monstered. But, the Charger ultimately turn it over on downs inside the 10 after the TE drops one in the endzone on 4th down due to brutally KO'ing himself by banging his head off the turf. Out cold. Stiff.

It might be what he's NOT seeing. Everyone else is seeing that he's made a colossal mistake. -
Le sigh...

I've only dreamed of the Panthers once. The night before we drafted Brayvion Roy in the 6th round I dreamed that we drafted Brayvion Roy in the 6th round. Very rarely I will have very vivid dreams about random trivial future events and they almost always end up being true. I'd love to ask Brayvion exactly what Rhule said to him when he called him to let him know he was drafting him to gauge the reality of my dream.
