It always baffled me that he got an NFL HC offer when he did. It wasn't like he had great success in college. He's fared better than I expected at the NFL level. Given the insane pay given out at the college level recently, the guy might get himself a substantial raise if the Cardinals fired him.

I don't get the talk of Pickett's processing speed. When he has to go past his first read he seems slow to me. That's concerning for a fifth year college player.

We beat them with their third string QB and without one of the best WRs in football when we were all hopped up on Cams return. It was fool's gold and just cost us draft position.

I mean, you're in a situation where about the only way you can lose that game is by turnovers and he tries to force a ball on 3rd and long and badly overthrows it right into the waiting hands of a defender setting them up in scoring range. Just inexcusable. I hate to use a Job Fox euphemism here, but in that situation a punt is not a bad play.

I think it'll be someone like Jimmy G. If the Browns want to move Baker I think he's have enough sway and options available to steer his way clear of this dumpster fire.

Unfortunately, this seems by far the most likely scenario. Except I think Fitts and Rhule are going to eat up a significant chunk of that cap space with desperation quick fix bandaid solutions. If their hands aren't tied on trading future picks that's gonna happen too.

I predicted weeks ago that we'd end up with Jimmy G at QB next season and some washed up retread "name" at OC like Jason Garrett who already has one foot out the door and will use Tepper for what amounts to a severance check on his way to retirement from coaching.
