Carolina getting blown out in the first half again. We gotta fix this slow start problem.
-
KU is the best team in the country right now but I don't think they will be in March. They're beating younger more talented teams with experience right now. Let these other teams get 30 games under their belt and I think they're beating Kansas.

duke drew up a last second play to get a look for a guy who was 0-7 from three on the night? To no one's shock he goes 0-8. LOL The rest of the team went 11-18 from three. Seems like somebody else would've been a better pick. Same guy committed the turnover on the previous play.
-
I just can't see a three loss team that isn't a household name getting in the field.
-
Lost to BYU, had to go to OT to beat duke. I mean, they're decent but they ain't no #9 in the country.

The Big 12 is hot trash. It's basically a mid-major conference. You bandwagon team has two bad losses. They're not even in the conversation.

SCar suffers from little bother syndrome against Clemson. It's the best or second best team in the ACC against a borderline top 5 SEC team.

Is it too early to lock up Horn to a long term deal?

Given the injury history and tendency toward penalties is be wary. -
Honestly haven't even thought about it. Just basking in the glow of moving on from Mack at the moment.

He was still identified as a top 10 pick even with a losing college record. How in the world as a college coach do you have a losing record with a top 10 pick talent at QB? Hell, the ghost of Mack Brown still managed to have winning records with Howell and Maye even with no defense.

All the way out. Talk to people who knows Texas HS football. The guy refused to recruit. We already saw how that turned out with Fedora. Kingsbury is right where he belongs IMO as an OC. Not every good coordinator has the right makeup to make a good HC.

Pretty much all that needs to be said. LOL

The internet is the greatest communication tool in the history of humanity and what did we do with it? We turned it into a vehicle of supercharged tribalism. LOL

You just focused on the part you wanted to focus on. I said he showed poise and made some throws. You know, passed the eye test for once. What I was getting at is that he basically had a run of the mill "good game" for an NFL QB and he's been so bad that has people jumping for joy. It's a great step. He looked like a real NFL QB for once. Let's see what he does moving forward. Hopefully it's the start of something. Meanwhile, you just show up sporadically to poo on people who have the audacity to voice an opinion so why do you bother at all?

I'm sure he was given the opportunity to retire at the end of the season and he was resisting to the point that it became clear he was going to have to be forced out. The players responded to Mack saying he was coming back this past weekend. Let's see how they respond to Mack being gone this coming weekend. Sucks it had to go like this. If Mack had come back and landed Howell and Maye and handed the reins off to a new coach with the ship righted things would be so different. Instead he hung on too long and has tanked is again. We pretty much have no incoming recruiting class. The arrow is pointing straight down again. Instead of handing off a program in the rise now we're having to pitch another rebuild project.

It's not rocket science. We're going the wrong direction and committed recruits are bailing left and right

Right now it's an anomalous good game. We'll see if he builds on it but so many people so excited about 253 yards and a TD kinda speaks to just how bad he's been. He finally showed some poise and an ability to make some throws and put together a legitimately good game. That's a good thing. But when this is your crown jewel after 20 or so starts, I mean... we still need to see a lot more over these last few games.

And what were those matchups? I know I for one put a lot of weight into games like UNC vs. Minnesota in week one to gauge overall conference strength.

I'd extend Moton 2-3 years. Lord knows we should realize that good OTs don't grow on trees.

Mack ruined his legacy. Imagine how different he'd be viewed had he rode off into the sunset and handed a hot up and coming coach Drake Maye. He was hired to put the program back on the right track and be a stop gap to the future. Instead he just lucked into a couple of NFL QBs and then hung around to drag us right back into the gutter. https://www.si.com/college/unc/football/unc-football-recruiting-efforts-look-crumbling-11-24 If he's not willing to retire, fire him. But we have to move on and now we're on a worse spot to land a good coach than we were a couple of years ago when Mack should've logically retired.

I'm not talking about the last 20 years. I'm talking about right now. Today.

Circle back when you get thumped by three scores by a top 5 type of team in the playoffs.
-
I mean, the ACC is definitely nowhere near as strong as the SEC and Big 10. That's just reality.

Yep. I've been saying all year that Miami is reminiscent of the Howell and Maye Heels teams. Their D sucks but it doesn't suck THAT bad though.
