  1. Law of averages. Shoot lights out in the 1st, go cold in the 2nd.
  2. Not necessarily. Lots of lucky rolls, contested makes, etc. Sometimes the other team just makes shots no matter what. We've been dealing with a lot of that lately.
  3. Our defense has dropped off for sure but teams are just shooting lights out against us right now. Everyone.
  4. Every opponent has been like this for awhile now. Bad shooters shoot well, good shooters shoot great, and great shooters shoot like Steph Curry.
  5. For the last few weeks it feels like every team we play shoots like the Splash Brothers from three. It's getting old.
  6. It definitely seems like the Combine is fading as an event. Practically none of the top guys are participating this year.
  7. Oh snap, Adonai Mitchell just ran 4.35. Leggettenran 4.47. Solid time but definitely not the high 4.2s/low 4.3s he was said to be running at SCar. Keon Coleman runs 4.64 and 4.62. Fast enough for a possession guy but he clearly won't have plus speed in the NFL.
  8. Vikings HC sounding very non-committal on Kirk Cousins. They legit might let him walk.
  9. Blake Corum just ran a 4.53. That's good for him. Anything under 4.6 IMO would've alleviated some concerns for him. Low 4.5s definitely checks the box.
  10. The Commanders name sucks but you can't go back to Redskins. It's just a blatantly racist name. Like the Cleveland Indians where the mascot was like a 1950s style racist caricature. I can see something like the Chiefs working. It feels more reverential and celebrating vs. a caricature or a racist slang word. And something like the FSU Seminoles definitely works with their longstanding relationship with the tribe.
  11. Kyler Murray is far superior physically. He has a good NFL arm and is one of the best overall athletes playing QB in the NFL today. They're just not comparable at all. Bryce's ceiling might be Gardner Minshew. Just think about it this way. If Bryce was a mid-round pick instead of a #1 overall trade up pick, is there any doubt that we'd be looking to move on? Bryce is the guy this coming year based on draft status and the investment we made in him. That's pretty much it.
  12. But why was Young considered by so many to be the #1 QB? It never made sense to me. There were red flags EVERYWHERE with the guy. His size. His arm talent. His footwork. Everyone just got so enamored with the person and the idea that he was such a football savant that all the red flags wouldn't matter. I got heckled every time I brought up the questions pre-draft. Oh, so all the football experts are wrong??? Yeah.
  13. I think he is in a different league as a prospect compared to Chase. A lesser league.
  14. Going off NFL.com prospect grades he's not the best WR prospect this year by either measure. If you go back over the past decade he's probably barely top 10. Excellent WR prospect, no doubt. Definitely not "generational" though.
  15. Wake me up when a Lincoln Riley QB doesn't kill it. Williams has super intriguing talent. He has a helluva arm, is a good scrambler, and a GREAT thrower on the move. My big concerns with him are the diva attitude and that he holds the ball forever. Like FOREVER. I think he's complete boom or bust. He's gonna be great or he's gonna be a bust. I don't see a lot of room for gray area in between. Either his game will translate or it won't.
  16. I'm honestly not certain he's the best WR prospect THIS year. In the last 10 years? I mean, 10 years ago Sammy Watkins was a STUD prospect. Nearly 1500 yards and 12 TDs his last year at Clemson. Those are the types of guys everyone forgets about in there discussions. The "can't miss prospects" that miss. He went #4 over Mike Evans at #7. Amari Cooper went #4 overall the following year. 1700 yards and 16 TDs his last year at Bama STUD. Hell, a lot of folks thought Kevin White who went #7 that year was an even better prospect. BUST. Corey Davis went #5 overall in 2018. 2021 had the previously mentioned Chase at #5 with Waddle right behind him at #6. Harrison's production just doesn't scream generational prospect. Numerous highly drafted guys in the last decade have put up considerably better numbers against similar competition. And I just don't see game breaking speed from him when I watch him play. I "just" see a typical WR that gets drafted in the top 10. A damn good prospect but not someone who is displaying otherworldly talent.
  17. I honestly don't think he's a better prospect than Chase was.
  18. I'm gonna just be honest here. fug any and all "Panthers fans" that poo on Cam Newton. Hope y'all are enjoying the post-Cam Panthers. You got what you asked for.
  19. The guy spent three years at Texas which is consistently ranked one of the top public universities in the country. Damn, that's just embarrassing.
  20. I actually liked last year's WR class too. It was a good class overall it just lacked that elite top of the draft type talent. Good depth though. Per usual, we just draft the wrong one.
  21. It's a helluva WR class. Honestly on paper it's probably the best WR class I can recall since the legendary 1996 WR draft class. Not saying this class will produce multiple HOFers like that one but it's stacked both wil elite talent at the top of the board and good depth throughout. If you need WR help at all you're really doing your team a disservice not to come out of this draft with one.
  22. I've come to expect foolishness from Tepper's Panthers. Honestly, if I'm the Panthers and the Commanders go QB at #2 I'd be calling them immediately. Okay, whatya want for Howell? If I can get him for a mid-rounder I'm doing it and having a legit QB competition in camp.
  23. You would if he was generational. You'd definitely trade a guy about to bust your cap space for a generational prospect on a rookie contract.
