  1. Tough for me to call someone who has made that much money a "failure". I'm sure he'll manage.
  2. Poor guy has made tens of millions of dollars to be terrible. We should all be so fortunate.
  3. The Bears just made the same mistake we did a year ago. https://www.nfl.com/news/bears-rb-d-andre-swift-agree-to-terms-on-three-year-24-million-deal It's not the RB, it's the system.
  4. I saw an article recently that said if Cousins walks to expect them to sign Sam Darnold to start. That was a quality chuckle.
  5. If he can't take the pressure of a 2nd or 3rd rounder pushing him he ain't it anyway. It's not like Bama wasn't recruiting the best QBs they could get to sign every year.
  6. Spoon was a good player but a BIG step down from those other guys
  7. Nobody is trading for Burns without a long-term contract agreed on.
  8. I think it would be straight up. But I also don't think the Bengals want to pay Burns. Moving Higgins would be about not spending that huge chunk of cap, not just spending it on a different guy.
  9. I'd put Luvu roughly on par with a guys like Witherspoon and Anderson.
  10. #IncomingHotTakeAlert Don't be surprised if Higgins is a bust elsewhere.
  11. Yep. You can find plays where everyone in the league looks bad. Those other guys are pretty good too after all. Sometimes you're the bug and sometimes you're the windshield.
  12. I meant no shows in terms of production vs. their average. Yeah, duke keyed hard on those guys and other guys (Ryan in particular) made them pay for it.
  13. No poo Luvu isn't on the level of guys like Luke, TD, Beason, Morgan, etc. No one has ever claimed such. All those guys were 1st round picks though. That's the type of investment you usually have to make to get guys of that caliber and I hope the days of us spending 1st round picks on off the ball LBs are over.
  14. There were reports awhile back that the Pats would go vet for QB. Brissett is in that good backup/marginal starter category. If they're signing him so the #3 overall pick isn't necessarily forced into action if he's not ready and to be a vet mentor that makes a lot of sense. If they're signing him as the answer so they can go WR at #3 that's laughable.
  15. Very average is being kind if we're talking about starters. They were definitely below average starters. I guess they were probably about average in terms of overall rostered NFL OL.
  16. Seems like he wants to test the market. Hopefully we can keep him but if not best of luck in greener pastures. I can't blame anyone for wanting to explore other options, particularly given the state of this organization over recent years.
  17. Morgan has his work cut out for him. This roster is littered with massive holes and virtually no depth.
  18. I saw a report awhile back that the Pats were expected to go with a veteran QB. No clue if that's accurate or not. Honestly, with three really promising QBs I think they'd be well served to take a shot at one. Or maybe they like someone like Nix or Penix and think they can get him at the top of the 2nd or maybe trade back into the bottom of the 1st.
  19. I'm honestly not sure he even works as an OG in that type of scheme. He's a downhill mauler. Same as Bozeman. We might need to just trade him before we destroy any trade value he might have like we did playing Chinn in misfit roles.
  20. Yep. Square peg, round hole. We have another one in Icky. We've been doing it for years with Chinn. Playing him as a deep safety was dumb. Trying to play him at nickel was even dumber. We just do a lot of dumb stuff as a football organization.
  21. It's so obvious at this point that Chinn should be playing LB. The old school in the box strong safety isn't dead, we just call them LBs now.
  22. Mac is what most thought he'd be when they looked past his gaudy stats at Bama... a backup NFL QB. Hey, it's a good gig. You make a lot of money and you don't get beat to poo.
  23. Sons of former players who understand the business side of the sport from experience tend to be smarter about these things. Jaycee Horn is currently doing the same thing.
  24. Ryan was our best player tonight. We're fortunate that we have four guys who can be our best player on any given night and Cadeau isn't far off from making it five. When this team commits to D'ing up they can beat anyone. During our rough stretch the biggest difference was defensive lapses. D the fug up and we have a chance
