  1. That's the catch. Once you're bought in it's hard to get out. If you give them up you're out everything you've spent. If you try to sell them right now you'd struggle to literally give them away. If the team is doing well you have no desire to sell.
  2. Who created this situation and chose to allow it to continue? The problem is bigger than Matt Rhule. Rhule is a symptom. Tepper is the disease.
  3. I honestly think he may have been betting on Rhule being willing to resign to pursue them.
  4. It was so cringe. Everyone in the stadium just kinda sat there looking confused. I was laughing.
  5. I said it a few days ago that I suspect Rhule low key wishes he had been fired after the season. I honestly think he expected it and had kinda moved on mentally and was likely looking at next steps in his career. There were ample rumors swirling that he and/or his agent had been sniffing around the top college jobs. It's wild. Everyone except Tepper knows Rhule should've been fired by now, even Rhule himself. Was this brass balls Tepper betting on Rhule resigning? Resigning and walking away from all those millions?
  6. Except no team would trade for him without an agreement on an extension already in place. NTC or not, good vets with options have a lot of sway on where they end up.
  7. You asked. I answered. And David Tepper killed our Panthers.
  8. Draft dream: Steelers draft Howell Draft nightmare: Saints draft Howell
  9. It'd be the 6th overall pick, probably significantly more, AND a gigantic new contract. I like Murray but I'm not certain he's worth that and I'm damn certain I want no part of Rhule being involved in making that decision.
  10. Are we going to embarrass ourselves with yet another aggressive swing and miss?
  11. Because they're desperately trying to save their jobs. Tepper created this mess by not firing Rhule after last season. The desperation we're getting ready to exhibit at the QB position is going to be entirely due to that idiotic decision.
  12. Kick the tires of all else fails. I'm definitely not pushing for Mayfield.
  13. Agreed. We were getting blown up in the middle.
  14. He can want whatever he pleases. He ain't gonna get it.
  15. Yeah, it really is. If we were winning I wouldn't like it but I could see an argument for moving on to something else. But to put up three straight five win seasons and trying to strip the very foundation of what has become the Panthers' culture? Yeah, Tepper can go fug himself. He couldn't do a better job of trying to gut this fanbase if he was actively trying to do just that. "Keep Pounding" is basically the only thing we have left to hold onto.
  16. I think the NFL realizes he needs a big ego checking and they're giving him one. It won't shock me if the Browns end up having to outright cut him and he has to sign a low cap hit prove it deal.
  17. I don't think we make a pick at #6. Fitts lives to trade down and lives to trade in general. We have a serious lack of overall draft capital having no day two picks. Add it all up and it screams trade down IMO.
  18. Tepper wants rid of anything and everything that predates him. He's making it very, very easy for fans to say fug it and throw in the towel. It honestly wouldn't shock me if he started pushing for a complete rebranding and changing the team name/mascot.
  19. At first, we went with the smart, physically limited QB in Teddy. Then we went with the physically talented but mentally limited Darnold. Going with a Jimmy G would basically just be regressing back to our initial QB mistake.
  20. Entitlement makes you think you can make every throw.
  21. I agree but it's because of his entitled attitude. Is that fixable? Eh... I doubt it.
  22. Put Jimmy G on this team and he'll look like Sam Darnold. Put Mayfield on this team and he'll probably be an absolute cancer. If you could combine Jimmy G's attitude with Mayfield's talent you'd probably have a QB. Unfortunately you can't.
  23. Nah, serious. Everything I've heard about him says he's the perfect teammate. I just wouldn't want to pay that cap hit for a veteran hand holder.
