  1. You didn't watch any of the previous two years did you?
  2. I thought he was a 3rd rounder. He went the very last pick of the 2nd round. I was off by one pick.
  3. I've said all along that Howell and Corral are my top two. Willis has intriguing tools but trying to project him to the NFL from Liberty is just a leap I'm not willing to make but he does have first round talent. That's the end of the list of guys I'd consider in the first.
  4. I'm torn. The Panthers fan in me would love to draft Howell. The Howell fan in me would prefer he gets drafted damn near anywhere else.
  5. Looks like Josh Allen, throws like Chad Pennington.
  6. I thought he'd go in the 3rd myself but he went in the 2nd. All four guys I named are superior NFL prospects
  7. Kyle Trask went in the 2nd in last year's loaded QB class. Howell, Corral, Willis, and Pickett are all better prospects. Hell, Pickett is basically a more athletic version of Kyler Trask.
  8. I think I'm the only UNC fan in this thread. Some of y'all really see what y'all wanna see when anything UNC is mentioned.
  9. I didn't want Coples. I wanted Gilmore or Poe in the 2019. Interestingly enough, they were the next two picks after we took Luke and both ended up playing for short stints for the Panthers. Coples went 7 picks later. Peppers was the real deal. Coples had the physical tools, but just didn't have the motor. Robert Quinn was the real deal.
  10. Yep. Historically speaking these are still fairly low rates. We've just been spoiled by literally historically low rates for years but the bill is coming due.
  11. Every play that sees a ball thrown 60+ yards down field does.
  12. I'm honestly surprised that UVA QB hasn't gotten more love at the college level. I don't think he's an NFL QB but dude can ball.
  13. Worked out decently last time we spent a high pick on a Tar Heel.
  14. It's what he does. He panics and does dumb poo. That's why I honestly don't think he'd look much different than Sam Darnold if he was playing for us. Take him off of a great overall roster with a good offensive minded coach and he's probably going to look a whole lot like Sam Darnold.
  15. I'm sorry, but did you watch the games? I think awful is a pretty fair description of his play.
  16. In our system they'll probably look like the same guy. People overlook the reality that Jimmy G has a lot of ugly force something up turnovers too. That issue would only be magnified here
  17. I look forward to watching people bitch and moan when Panthers Jimmy G looks indistinguishable from Sam Darnold.
  18. No, but we've already seen what happens to a lot of folks when you kick that can down the road.
  19. Jesus. We didn't learn poo from the last housing crisis, did we?
  20. People trying to convince themselves that we can win with Jimmy G... Y'all did this same poo with Teddy and Darnold.
  21. I have no idea how anyone could watch Darnold at the Jets and conclude anything other than "holy poo, this dude sucks". Yes, he had some flashes. But they were FLASHES. Everyone on an NFL roster has the talent to have flashes if they're getting starter minutes. But all the same problems we're still readily present - the most glaring of which was the panic. Sam Darnold is a panicker. When plays go sideways he panics and when he panics he does really dumb poo. Well, guess what? This is the NFL and I don't care how great your team is poo is going to go sideways sometimes. Several times a game. Those guys on that opposing defense are good too. They're highly paid professional football players coached by professional football coaches. They're gonna make some plays and do some things right. You cannot afford several boneheaded plays a game from your QB.
  22. For this roster? No. But if we had a top flight RT (or honestly just a good RT) in 2015 we're not a ringless franchise.
