  1. Jimmy Clausen might be the only guy who has started double digit NFL games that I can point to and say, "Okay, that guy is definitely worse than Sam Darnold." I honestly can't think of another right off the top of my head.
  2. But why? Why would Arizona be willing to trade him?
  3. Oh, I think we know. Darnold has never thrown for 20+ TDs in the NFL and the last time he didn't throw double digit INTs he was a redshirt freshman at USC. Mayfield isn't very good, but Sam Darnold flat out sucks.
  4. Everyone keeps trying to sell Jimmy G based on the Niners' team accomplishments while ignoring his poor play. Is Jimmy G better than Sam Darnold? Yeah. But that's no the whole question. Is he good enough to trade for and)or good enough to take a $24M cap hit on next year? Hell no. So trading for him would be an awful idea. I'f we're a 4-5 win team with Darnold, we're probably a 6-7 win team with Jimmy G and then he's a free agent and here we are again a year from now.
  5. No one wins with Tepper and Rhule's Panthers either. And no one wins with Sam Darnold.
  6. The Panthers are still deluded about reality if they think Baker Mayfield is redundant to Sam Darnold. Mayfield probably isn't the answer but he's way better than Sam Darnold. And he's better than the current version of Jimmy G too. He's just a spoiled brat.
  7. Sam was just terrible. Our offense looked pretty legit with Teddy. We just looked like we needed a QB who was a bit more aggressive and better able to go downfield. Sam was just all around awful, like he's been his entire NFL career. He's a talented thrower of the football but he's not a QB. He doesn't have it between the ears.
  8. I'm still very frustrated that Christensen didn't get significantly more time at LT and we didn't get Brown on the field much at all. We could and should have a much better idea of what we have in those guys. I just have very little confidence in this crew evaluating talent. Draft, free agents, already on the roster. They don't seem great at evaluating any of it.
  9. It was fool's gold. Then the truth came out and the truth looked a while lot like the same guy who played for the Jets.
  10. If that was true he'd already be fired. Tepper hasn't accepted that this dude is a clown. He's still a believer.
  11. He looked exactly like I said he'd look. Decent at first and like trash once NFL teams got a bead on him in our system. Teddy isn't good but he had a career year in Brady's system. Sam Darnold is just a trash tier QB.
  12. We're highly unlikely to win a lot of games either way but Rhule's best chance of getting a 4th year is probably with a promising rookie and a team that shows improvement through the course of the season.
  13. I don't see him in the roster, even if he's outright cut. We didn't learn anything from the Teddy debacle. You can't openly poo all over a guy while he's still on your roster.
  14. Which is why Rhule should've been fired but he wasn't so here we are. Gotta keep on keeping on.
  15. I'm very against it. I'd honestly rather stick with Darnold.
  16. He'll probably be about the same then end up injured. That's kinda his M.O.
  17. I'm not sure sure I wouldn't prefer Howell and the top OG in the draft vs. the 4th or 5th best OT prospect. I'm honestly not sure if that OT would be a legit upgrade over Christensen while I think the best OG would be a definite upgrade over our current guards.
  18. Agreed. I've always thought the Baker comp was a pretty good one physically. Big difference between the ears though.
  19. Two 1sts AND paying him like a top 5 QB. The fact that Arizona seems to be balking on paying him has me balking on whether it would be a good idea to both trade for him AND pay him.
  20. It became a one read and bolt offense. Because it had to be.
  21. I think my parents' house was in the low 20s. My first was around 6ish initially. Refinanced it multiple times over the course of four years ending sub-3. Current house is sub-3.
  22. Kinda like how 80+ month notes for vehicles are becoming more and more common. If you need an 84 month note on a vehicle to afford it, YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT.
  23. This is why I'm big on Howell. I've watched the guy play behind a nearly non-existent OL and only one legit receiver with his draft status hanging in the balance and the guy never showed any signs of being frustrated or rattled. After barely running at all his first two seasons he ran like a mad man out of sheer necessity. He's really damn good at just focusing on the things he can control and tuning out the rest of the noise.
