  1. That's what I thought too but given that crazy run on WRs yesterday and multiple major trades for vet WRs I think he my have more value than I would've thought. There are still contenders like GB and KC who are borderline desperate at WR.
  2. I don't think we can make the move without a player being involved and Robby would be my bet.
  3. Probably so. I think Willis comes off the board very early tonight. I know the Panthers like Howell but I don't know how much. Another team that likes him is the Seahawks and the hold the 9th and 10th picks in the 2nd.
  4. Here's why I think they're going to fly... The top 10 picks in the 2nd round are: Bucs Vikings Titans Giants Texans Jets Bears Seahawks Seahawks Colts Every team there minus the Jets and Bears could potentially pick a QB. I don't think the Bucs will since they picked a QB in the 2nd last year. I expect them to definitely field calls for that pick. The Vikings may delude themselves into trying to make a run with Cousins. I think they field calls too. I'll be surprised if the Giants and Seahawks DON'T take QBs. Maybe the Colts too. Teams later in the round will be looking at that too.
  5. Look at the trades yesterday. The trade ups largely haven't been super costly. We're not trading our 1st next year. I could see something like Robbie and a mid-rounder given the run on WRs yesterday and some good teams still borderline desperate at WR.
  6. Look at some of the trade ups yesterday. The teams trading down usually weren't getting great value. More like Wal-Mart house brand generic Great Value.
  7. I would prefer not to trade Brown. He looked promising as a rookie then had a sophomore slump. I wouldn't give up on him yet unless it was a very strong offer.
  8. Seems like it happens every year. Some surprise 1st round picks mean there are some surprises still left on the board in the early 2nd.
  9. When you have to go back 20+ years to try to make a point your point might not be all that great.
  10. I would not be shocked to see an early run on QBs tonight. I could see Willis, Howell, and Ridder all going in the first 10-12 picks. Possibly Corral too.
  11. I swear one of these days fans might stop talking in absolutes about the NFL draft.
  12. Yep. If we had that pick we're all debating about Willis vs. Howell vs. Ridder instead of wondering what we're going to do to try to get something at QB.
  13. Glad to see that it looks like Fitts is starting to win the personnel battles. You know Rhule would rather go for yet another trash heap vet.
  14. Robbie makes the most sense and given the run on WRs yesterday and the WR trades, he may have more trade value than I would've thought. If I was Fitts I'd consider reaching out to his agent and telling Robbie to purge his Twitter account of all the dumb poo he constantly says because we're gonna see if KC or GB has interest. Wouldn't he want to go play with an elite QB for once?
  15. I really don't think so. He just doesn't see the field like a QB. He can't read and react. He tries to consciously think and that makes him too slow. After the snap you have to be done thinking. It's all instinct and reaction at that point. I don't think that's coachable. It's like trying to coach a RB to have better vision or a DB to have better balls skills. A guy either has it or he doesn't.
  16. I mean, he had to say something to hedge his bets if Rhule threw a hissy fit in the war room and pulled rank and demanded they pick Pickett.
  17. If Fitts gets his way, I think so. If Rhule gets his way, it'll probably be Jimmy G.
  18. They're gonna make a move for a QB one way or the other and I don't see how to do it without touching future picks or giving up a quality young player.
  19. I cannot see Fittterer sitting on his hands as 131 picks go by. It's just not in his nature.
  20. Smitty has never cared for Mayfield. I think Browns receivers have told him stories.
  21. Perfect prototypes have P5 offers. He ended up at NDSU (and Willis at Liberty via Auburn) for a reason. One or both may pan out but they're both projects.
