What are you confused about?
-
None of them were LB/EDGE hybrids either. That's where they seem to struggle.
-
Because you're talking about the working definition of an "assault rifle". I'm talking about an AR-15. They aren't one in the same.
-
I think the Cardinals just keep drafting defenders that they don't know how to utilize.
-
We're not though. You're just hinging your entire definition on one specific feature to ignore everything else they want to ban. There are already commercially available solutions for this in the handful of states with regulations requiring it with the anticipation of more likely to follow.
-
Probably the best for Simmons. I was FIRMLY in the Brown camp but the quicker Simmons can get out of AZ the better off he'll be. See: Reddick, Hasson.
-
You can retrofit an AR to have a fixed five round mag.
-
Cool. So drop all the other stuff from the list of features to ban and we agree.
-
Shi has been seriously disappointing.
-
You can make an AR with a fixed lower capacity magazine. That's my point. Focus on the features that actually matter.
-
No. I support banning detachable high capacity magazines. Not that plus a lot more stuff. Pistol grip, threaded barrel, barrel shroud, etc. None of that stuff matters.

We have tons of coyotes and big horn owls both. We live on 12 acres and can't see our nearest neighbor. To our south is miles of wilderness. We see deer and wild turkeys nearly daily. Hear the coyotes often but very rarely see them.

I honestly don't know what to think. Seems like you can find an expert or wunderkind investor delivering any message you want to hear if you're willing to look around for it. I honestly think economics basically amounts to pseudoscience. It's basically a mixture of supply and demand paired with human psychology and then a whole lot of fugery on top of it all.

I got kitten milk replacer. Yeah, I have a heating pad in it's little box under it's blanket. It was ice cold when I took it in. I thought I'd waited too long and let it die. I just wanted to give the mom plenty of time to come back for it first. I could tell it was barely breathing so I just tucked it up under my shirt and let it lay against my belly while I drove to the vet and it came around. I really don't think it would've made it much longer.

This. His primary job is just to run interference for the owners and be their puppet while also working as a mediator between 32 of the biggest egomaniacs on the planet. It really doesn't matter who is the figurehead in that position, it's the owners pulling the strings behind the scenes anyway.
-
Well, I mean he's terrible so this was completely expected. It's still a relief. There has been way too many statements from the organization acting like this guy is some type of solution.

@Cullenator That's what I'm saying. Focus on the things that make the firearms more lethal. Rate of fire and ammo capacity with the latter being by far and away most important. If you only have five rounds it really doesn't matter that it's fully automatic. Here's the reality about any semi-auto, they're all relatively easy to convert to full auto by someone with a bit of fabrication ability. If we're talking about five rounds there's not a huge difference between fully auto, semi-auto, pump, or lever action. The big factor is removable high capacity magazines.
-
I've openly talked about the fact that I'd support banning capacity over five rounds and banning detachable magazines. Too many people get caught up in features that don't actually make a firearm more lethal in a mass shooting setting. It's really all about rate of fire and ammo capacity. Those are the factors that actually matter. That scary looking AR-15 is no more lethal than grandpa's deer rifle if it is limited to a five round fixed magazine. It's probably actually less lethal because it's likely firing a significantly weaker round. Just because I wouldn't go as far as you would doesn't mean I don't seem to support any sort of gun reform.
-
Yeah, I get that. I mean, just making the roster is a huge success for a UDFA. Anything more than that is some absolutely delicious icing on the cake.
-
Meh, part of the fun of camp and preseason is seeing which of the long shots will actually make it. Everybody likes a good underdog story.

According to the TB I'm a "gun but" but I don't own a single firearm that would come close to qualifying for any sort of "assault rifle" ban and I only own one handgun. But I'm a "gun nut". Bolt action rifles and antique lever guns are my jam but I don't "collect" bolt guns. I use them. They're tools. The Remington 700 .308 that my Dad gave me when I moved to CO that he bought when he turned 18 is the only bolt gun I own that I'll definitely never part with. I have two original Winchester Model 1873s and two 1892s. I have about $60k worth of antique firearms. All inherited. None fancy. All just average Joe shooters but they appraise high because they're all original and in great condition.

The kitten is doing well. It has gone from 120 grams when I took it in to 180 grams this morning.
