  1. LT was a lass rushing OLB. Totally different position.
  2. We suck so hard right now that I can't even go back and enjoy the highlights of Cam and Luke. Without the injury factor, both should still be playing great football for a strong contender right now since Luke is only 31 and Cam 32. If you'd told me during the 2015 season that in the summer of '22 Luke would be retired, Cam would be a shell of himself and no longer on the Panthers, JR has been forced to sell the team, and we're in the midst of the worst period of losing football in Panthers history I would've laughed in your face. But... here the fug we are.
  3. It isn't the end all be all, but there's a pretty strong correlation between struggling on the Wonderlic and struggling at QB in the NFL.
  4. Tepper is such a great owner we have to go back to the Panthers before Tepper to draw on successes that weren't Tepper's to attempt to manufacture an argument that Tepper hasn't turned us into a doormat. In the Tepper era, our 22-43 (33.8%) record puts us at 5th worst in the NFL during that time period. Worst in the division. Third worst in the NFC. That's pretty doormat-ish.
  5. Very possible. The only argument against it would be length of career.
  6. At his best, Urlacher is the best I've ever seen. That's to take nothing away from Luke. He was phenomenal and when you go beyond just the individual play and also factor in the "QB of the defense" factor you can easily argue he's the best. Total career, it's Lewis IMO.
  7. Oh, I don't think they're disappointed with Tepper. You think they were begging for someone who would come in and build a football organization that would kick their ass?
  8. Tepper may be a thoroughbred in the world of investing, but he's been a plug mule so far in the world of football.
  9. Ever since he got paid, CMC seems more about that Instagram life than he has been about playing football.
  10. Niners: We don't want to play in San Francisco in September, it's too hot. NFL: LOL! Enjoy Charlotte.
  11. I'm surprised the Ravens' hasn't leaked. When they went to their war room during the first round their entire big board was visible on the white board behind them.
  12. Y'all wouldn't believe how long the list of mods is. Most rarely post these days or have completely moved on.
  13. Y'all gotta report the posts. I don't think any of the mods spend much time at all in this subforum. Report 'em. I ain't reading through 12 pages that I don't care about.
  14. Southern Utah is one of my favorite areas in the continental U.S. but that's like raving about the beauty of the Blue Ridge from Fayetteville.
  15. SLC is kind of a low key poo hole of a city in a beautiful geographical setting... as long as you only look east.
  16. Sunk cost my dude. Tepper should well know that you don't hold onto a bad investment. Except that there's actually zero evidence that investment knowledge has translated to the world of football and plenty to the contrary.
  17. Not at that cap hit. Or anything even remotely close to it.
  18. We haven't even so much as gotten to rookie minicamp and already Joe Montana comparisons? This is the type of stuff that gets a fanbase fairly mocked.
  19. He shouldn't be. If this crew hasn't learned their lesson about vet castoff QBs by now them they're truly hopeless.
  20. Nailed it. That's where I am. I fully expect to probably watch as a general NFL fan this season simply tuning into the most interesting game available. Sure, I'll watch the first 3-4 Panthers games but I fully expect that we're likely on the way to another 5ish win season at that point and I'm not going to wait until week 13 this coming season to stop subjecting myself to watching terrible football at the expense of missing out on watching some really good football. I just can't really emotionally invest in a Rhule led NFL team. Sorry, he's a proven failure at this level. And honestly, I'm getting very close to the same point with Tepper. My fandom is absolutely on the brink at this point.
  21. Bingo. It's crazy watching all the same folks who extoll the virtues of almighty capitalism also gleefully cheer for socialism for big business. Except the profits are never socialized, just the costs. It's a helluva gig if you can get it. Meanwhile, folks wonder where all the small businesses are going...
  22. I'll honestly be surprised if Darnold is ultimately on the roster. I mean, we've publicly shat all over the guy all off-season, just like we did Teddy previously. We gotta learn to not shitball over guys while they're still on the roster.
  23. It doesn't sound right because you're not thinking about Darnold specifically and his specific flaws. They aren't fixed by an OL. They aren't fixable period. He isn't a QB mentally. He's a physically talented thrower of a football but he's not a QB.
