  1. 6 seasons with 25+ TDs. 6 seasons with 4000+ yards. Dude, we'd sell our souls right now for prime Carson Palmer. *Damn, I honestly didn't remember how good Palmer was until I looked it up. The guy is a borderline HOFer. Game manager...
  2. Any German luxury vehicle that's over 5 years old and/or has over 75k miles on it... don't walk away, fuging RUN. A college buddy of mine's dad managed a DC area BMW dealership. His old saying was "if you can't afford a BMW with a factory warranty on it then you sure as hell can't afford one out of warranty." A former neighbor had an Audi that lived in the shop. It was probably only 5-6 years old and had under 100k miles. He said it couldn't enter the shop without at least a $1500 bill. He traded it for a brand new loaded Chevy Duramax diesel. He swore the payments on that truck totaled less per year than the maintenance on that Audi.
  3. Yep, I think he struck while the iron was hot. It's not like he has been an afterthought in the NFL. The guy has had four years with coaching staffs devoting their focus and efforts on developing and preparing him as a starting QB.
  4. Nah man, it's way worse than that. He threw for less than 800 yards and single digit TDs in HS. They moved him all over the place from QB, to TE, to LB trying to figure out how to maximize his talents. Hell, even his HS coaches realized this dude isn't a QB.
  5. Honestly, I think 90% of the league was already there when we traded for him. If we cut him today I doubt very seriously he would generate anything other than short term low money "prove it" deal offers with zero opportunities to enter camp penciled in as the starter. Looking around the league, I honestly don't see many if any situations where he could even compete for a starting job. I mean, if you're on a roster with a 3rd round rookie and a guy who couldn't get an NFL contract until your college coach landed an NFL gig and they're still shopping and unwilling to commit to you... well, I mean it's tougher to imagine a more gift wrapped opportunity than that. If you can't start here you probably can't start anywhere.
  6. Sam Darnold is what went wrong. He's a talented thrower of the football but he's a terrible QB. Being a talented thrower does not necessarily make a good QB. It's like being a WR with a 4.3 40. Yeah, that's nice and all... but can you actually play?
  7. A team throwing in the towel on a top 10 draft pick after only one season is about as big as red flags get. Second only to actually watching a guy suck out loud and being probably the worst starting QB in the NFL for three seasons. I guess being accused by a sizable portion of the American female population of sexual misconduct deserves a mention as well.
  8. Good grief. Does your billionaire simping know no bounds?
  9. Tannehill is a legit decent QB. Darnold is a legit terrible QB. There's a big gap between the two. Do I want to trade for Tannehill? No. That would probably take significant assets and I'm not for spending significant future assets on what is at this point a failed coaching regime.
  10. Very. It seems inevitable. It will seem inevitable for as long as Rhule is here. I'm starting to think that may be the case for Tepper as well. He's gonna have to accept reality and hire competent football people and let them do their jobs or we're going to be a perennial bottom feeder. He just needs to be honest with himself. Would he hire Bill Belichick and Tom Brady to run a hedge fund? Brilliance and unparalleled success in one field doesn't necessarily translate to another and he's finding that out the hard way.
  11. I agree that he's better than most people think. I disagree he's with that though. His attitude and locker room concerns are LEGIT. That wouldn't matter if he was Patrick Mahomes but he ain't Patrick Mahomes.
  12. A 5th and they pay half his salary. I'd do that. That's worth the risk.
  13. I just don't want any part of Jimmy G. Baker probably won't work out either but at least he is young and has real talent and two years ago looked like an up and coming legit QB. There's a chance he would work out. Jimmy G... there's just nothing there. The only way I would want him is if we're very sold on Corral being the long-term answer and value Jimmy G as a veteran mentor and placeholder. The question is what is that worth on trade compensation and cap hit?
  14. For someone who supposedly doesn't care you sure are stanning awfully hard. Good for McAfee. Make that money. Mouth breathers count in the ratings to sell to advertisers just the same.
  15. Just a word of warning, Timbertech scratches really easily. Trex doesn't.
  16. Yeah, use regular pressure treated but put the trex tape over them. Don't skip this step or your frame will 100% rot out from under your decking. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Trex-50-ft-Deck-Tape/5013300481 Nah, he's western NC based by appreciate it anyway.
  17. Trex barely costs more than pressure treated pine these days and this new pressure treated lumber doesn't last for poo.
  18. My dad is a contractor. Decks are tripled right now vs. two years ago. It's just material costs. He's not making a dime extra. He'll straight up tell people that they're better off waiting. Hell, even if you wanna do it he's booked 5-6 months out.
  19. Hell, I don't blame McAfee. Hence why I said good for him and mocked his listeners. I honestly had no idea there were so many grown ass man tank top wearers feeling the need to stan for Pat McAfee.
  20. It's both. Basically admitting you're willing to look the other way if the skill part of the equation is right and stupid because the Panthers think putting up this front about Mayfield will make folks forget about them being just fine with bringing on Watson and all his baggage when all it does it does is highlight it IMO. Every article after a trade for Mayfield would remind folks about the Panthers striking out on the Watson sweepstakes, especially since Watson is a Brown.
  21. Unless it's absolutely necessary I'd wait on significant remodeling. Building materials are still high as a giraffe's ass.
