  1. It's especially brutal for big guys. Lots of big men have had careers ended or derailed by recurring foot injuries. There are a lot of small structures doing a lot of work and when they get compromised it's tough. We all saw it with Greg Olsen.
  2. It's been plainly obvious since we made the deal for awhile that we have moved on from Darnold. The comments coming from the organization as soon as the season ended screamed it. The deal for Mayfield cemented it. This "competition" is and has been a farce. The splitting of reps is idiotic and self defeating. We aren't fooling anyone, especially if we're openly shopping the guy. Once again, we're displaying for all to see that this organization is fuging amateur hour.
  3. Good grief, what an awful take from a guy who knows better. That wouldn't happen in a vacuum during a game. If you have a DL forklifting one of your OL like that your entire protection scheme is busted. It's going to open up opportunities for others. This is what Kris Jenkins did for us in his prime. He didn't get a lot of sacks himself but him blowing up protections by take somebody out led to a lot of sacks and pressures.
  4. Not to mention 10-7 last year with a rookie QB whose arm makes Teddy Bridgewater look like Patrick Mahomes in comparison.
  5. Both. If Belichick had jumped ship to land on a loaded roster a head coach away from competing the results would've likely looked similar to Brady jumping ship to a loaded roster a QB away from competing.
  6. I remember Irving and the rest of the gang looking bad, period.
  7. Fairly unremarkable was a helluva lot better than the rest of the trash Rhule was trotting out at LT. Honestly, OL doing their jobs look fairly unremarkable the vast majority of the time. For the most part, if you aren't noticing an OL he's probably doing a pretty decent job.
  8. Oh look, the last remaining Sam Darnold stan on the planet.
  9. I'm guessing it just means the defense had the offense thoroughly beaten for whatever reason be it pressure on the QB, coverage, good run fits, etc.
  10. It looks like the Raiders are 2.5 point favorites. How big of a degenerate gambler do you have to be to bet on preseason NFL games? Yikes.
  11. I would not be surprised if any improvement is used as the reason to retain Rhule. Yeah, we went 7-10 but that's improvement and we expect to be in the playoffs next year with Matt Corral next up on our neverending QB carousel.
  12. I'm about to start a round of P90X. It just works for me. I don't buy into all the bro science bullshit about "muscle confusion" and all that mumbo jumbo. It's basically just a diet plan and a circuit training workout schedule with rest and recovery built in by focusing on different muscle groups. It's just a regiment that works for me because it's laid out in simple form and requires very little equipment. Just follow the plan. It's not rocket science. If you watch your diet and track your nutrition while working out at a good pace for 45 minutes a day you're going to rapidly improve your physical condition.
  13. We just need to figure it out quick. If BC is the significantly better LT then let's focus on getting Ickey ready at LG.
  14. We need to move on to the real competition at QB. Let's see if Corral can push Darnold for that #2 spot.
  15. We have a head coach who has made no shortage of baffling decisions. Of course there's legitimate concern he's going to make some more.
  16. Nah, you're much better off forcing your top 10 OT draft pick and newly acquired former #1 overall pick QB split reps in a farce of a competition before ultimately naming them the starters like everyone knew they would be all the whole you accomplished nothing more than denying them valuable reps with the starters.
  17. What's Matt Rhule's overlap NFL record? Yeah...
  18. My dad was planning to work until he was 70. He turned 62 this year and he's so going a significantly different tune now. Now he's hoping to make it to 65 but offering no promises.
  19. If our offense is so rudimentary that opponents can get a jump on us based on the napkin sketches of people on the internet then we are absolutely fuged from jump street.
  20. It sure would be nice to see some bombs in BOA again. From the Panthers, that is. Not the opponents like has been the norm the last few years.
  21. It seems like everything to do with evaluating NFL QBs is an unknown variable to Matt Rhule.
  22. It just seems dumb. It's not like there isn't a poo ton of film of Darnold sucking at QB in the NFL out there. He's not some unknown variable.
  23. I'll be shocked if we get anything for Sam but I'd love to be wrong about that.
  24. I get what you're saying but the reality is that any NFL team missing four OL is gonna be pretty screwed.
