It matters a lot. There's a big difference between 25 year olds and 20 year olds. It's how guys like Brandon Weeden look like Tom Brady in college. The whole "in the SEC" thing as if it's an entirely different level is just bunk. I mean, were all sitting here watching a Heisman winning Alabama QB look like a guy who doesn't belong on the NFL. The top few SEC teams are among the elite. The rest of the conference chants "SEC! SEC! SEC!" to ride their coattails.

The problem is trying to evaluate a 25 year old playing against 20 year olds.

I didn't like Nix at all but I'm not gonna argue with Sean Payton about QBs... or pills
-
Yeah, the Quinn Ewers of the world need to cash NIL checks until they win out of eligibility. Honestly, if you're a QB and you're not a slam dunk 1st rounder I'd say you're better off hitting the portal and taking bids.
-
That's putting it kindly. They're complete ass. I don't think they're complete ass enough to give my Heels a legit chance next week but they're ass.

Hoping for this much touted QB class to start looking like it. Arch Manning was supposed to be the next generational QB prospect and he looks like he's gonna be asked to run routes at the combine because he throws like a girl, I'm not gonna stop insulting the legend Uncle Rico by making that comparison.

Yeah, I was about to say if I'm Stafford I'm retiring before coming to this poo show. The guy spent most of his career toiling away for a bad franchise before landing in a good situation with the Rams, why would he want to finish his career with another poo show? I'd just head to the house before doing that. He's made plenty of money.

Tua? The best version of Tua was basically Bryce's theoretical ceiling but the current version of Tua has basically regressed to the level of Bryce. I don't know if it's the effect of injuries or what, but his arrow is pointing straight down. Moving on from Bryce to replace him with Tua would be a lateral move at best. Tua needs to be a backup both for football reasons and medical. That dude needs to stop taking hits to the head.

Baker reminds me a lot of Jake. Good QB but he's got a dawg in him that carries him above and beyond what he should be and makes his teammates and fans love him. I really wish this shitty organization hadn't dropped the ball on that one. We actually made the smart move for once and we still fuged it up. That's impressive. Impressive for all the wrong reasons but still impressive.

Gotta be one of the most brutal stretches of fandom in sports history. So close year after year after year just to get Charlie Brown'd at the finish line. Imagine 2015 four years in a row. Good lord, I think I might rather just suck. At least you get numb to the suck.

I didn't want the guy and I think he's almost certainly a bust but I'm rooting for him. Seems like a really likeable guy. I wish if we were gonna draft busts that we'd draft assholes that bust. It's a lot easier to deal with a bust like Josh Rosen where it's like "yeah, fug that prick" versus likeable guys like XL and Bryce.

I think Tua is seeing ghosts out there a lot of times. Not in the Sam Darnold "oh no, I might throw an INT" way but in the "OMG, I don't wanna die" way.

And Tua blows it.

Oof. Dolphins rough the punter. Brutal.

Dolphins came to play tonight. At 0-2 they're desperate. Mathematically speaking your odds of making the playoffs drop to less than 3% if you go 0-3. Your season is practically over.

Just saw the option to watch with Next Gen stats or whatever and I love the camera view. It's from the eye on the sky camera and you see the whole field. I'd LOVE to watch every game from this viewpoint. What I HATE is that they're highlighting eligible receivers. It's distracting as hell. Just give me the eye in the sky view without the highlighted players and it'd be perfect.
-
Really well done by the Dolphins on that drive.
-
Tua is just terrible if you can move him off his spot. He's an efficient if unspectacular passer in the pocket but as soon as he has to move the play is basically over.
-
Dolphins started out promising but it doesn't feel like they can afford to go down two scores in this one. They better bow up here.
-
I mean, to be fair you did act like the fact he's starting on a horrible team means he's automatically better. God knows there's plenty of backups around the league better than some of the guys we're trotting out there as starters. Starting just means that you're perceived to be the best option on that roster at the moment. Nothing more, nothing less.

No telling. Tepper has a crazy quick trigger finger at times but then will keep guys like Hurney and Rhule hanging around after everyone is ready to pull the plug on the failure.
