Igo is often extremely hopeful in his player evaluations. I was hopeful for Corral too. Then he hit the field. I'm not saying he's a bust or a lost cause but... oh wee mayne. Early returns do not look good.

I hope his injury isn't significant. The kid needs all the reps he can get even if he's just running the practice team.

I wouldn't be surprised. Everyone knows the "competition" is a farce. They just want to get it over with and start gelling as a unit. For some reason Rhule seems to think this is going to light a fire under the team when it seems most likely to do the opposite.

I'd trust employing John Dillinger as my armored truck driver more than I'd trust Sam Darnold in a football game.

You're just conveniently ignoring that these guys look better than Corral. No one was down on Corral until he took the field in the preseason and looked really bad.

Yes, context. In NFL preseason play which is all we have on rookies right now, they look better. No one is trying to put them in the HOF.

Honestly, Ekwonu's skill set seems better suited at OG right now. That's not to say he won't develop into a LT but we need to be focused on fielding our best five guys right now and if that means Ickey at OG so be it.

You'd have a point if every other rookie QB wasn't looking better so far.

I realize we're all desperate for a solution at QB, but this is some fentanyl level copium. 9-15 for 58 yards and what should've been 2 INTs with one bing a pick six, but he "flashed".

Quickly releasing the ball into the waiting arms of defenders seems problematic. Had Pats DBs actually caught those INTs it would've been yet another disastrous outing for Corral. That's just reality.

I don't disagree. It's hard to imagine another organization prioritizing a guy who should be a considered a "camp arm" over a 3rd round rookie. Not to mention that they traded up in the 3rd to get him.

I'm not seeing it. He's the worst of the rookie QBs I've watched. He has a quick release and decent mobility but everything else is... rough.

Not gonna lie, wish we had that 3rd round pick back.

People complaining about a board they frequent like they're too good for it just gripes my ass. It's like, look YOU can solve that problem yourself very easily.

Those two dropped INTs were so bad. Corral has a nice quick release and decent mobility but he looks a loooooong way away from seeing an NFL field in a meaningful game.

That kid definitely has the talent. Gonna be interesting to watch his development.
