  1. Yeah, Corral's best bet at this point is to find his way to a team with a stable environment that liked him in the draft. Maybe a team like that would kick us a conditional 6th or 7th to give him a look. ALL of our QB development resources are going to get poured into the #1 overall pick. As they should. Because all these guys are gonna sink or swim based on the success or failure of this pick.
  2. Corral. At least we didn't give up next year's #33 overall for Corral.
  3. People are getting way ahead of themselves assuming Stroud will be the pick. He might be. But I think it's far from a certainty. I'm not even sure if I'd consider him the favorite. Coaching comments keep leading me to Bryce Young.
  4. Good for Heinicke. Never forget that dude had to basically force Ron Rivera to play Sam Howell.
  5. There's no probably about it. It DEFINITELY is.
  6. He's pushed all his chips to the middle with this trade to #1. He's gonna sink or swim with this pick.
  7. Cheap? Sure. But he's made a lot of money in his career. Not sure he'd want to continue for near veteran minimum which is what is want him at.
  8. Why would we want to move on? The guy rebounds his ass off and gets almost all of his points off of put backs. I'd love to see what he could do with a real PG and we have one coming next year. I couldn't possibly care less about his NBA prospects. Hell, we had one legit NBA prospect on our roster the last time we won a national championship. I'll take all the great four year college players I can get and let Duke and Kentucky chase the one and dones for all I care. Give me one every now and then but I'm not selling out for them. I do think that's the way Hubert will go though. I think he has to. If you're going to run a pickup ball scheme you better just roll out more raw talent than your opponent can handle.
  9. I think there's a decent chance Foreman will be back. I just don't think he'll have a big market. He's basically a runner only who does very little for you on the passing game. That's fine. For the right price.
  10. I think that's coming via the draft. If the draft worked out perfectly for me, we take a TE at #39 and then a WR in the 3rd, maybe even using one of our 4ths or our 5th to package with #93 to move up in the 3rd if we need to. The guys I have in mind are A.T. Perry and Cedric Tillman.
  11. Very good. Now let's get a receiver. Somehow, someway. Then draft another one.
  12. Every single time I see this username pop up...

  14. I think we would have. The Bears wanted DJ.
  15. Seeing what Wilson looked like away from Seattle and what Geno Smith looked like in Seattle, I think the Seahawks might be his ideal landing spot. Smith's contract is essentially a bridge deal. I just don't know how much longer Pete Carroll plans on coaching.
  16. We have the worst skill position group in the league right now on paper. Hands down. There's a LOT of work to do. There's no one we have who would fetch more than a throwaway late round draft pick in a trade.
  17. We've already made our big move up. Making another big move up this year would leave us just devoid of future draft capital. We're just gonna have to sit and wait and see what falls into our laps at #39. If there are several intriguing options, I might even consider moving down a bit if there are enticing offers.
  18. I like A.T. Perry and Cedric Tillman outside.
  19. I have no idea what to believe. But I do know that you can make a very legit argument that from a pure physical talent perspective he might be the best QB prospect ever. No bullshit. If you think he has what it takes between the ears, how can you NOT draft him? Then again, JaMarcus Russell could throw the ball 90 yards off his knees or some ridiculous poo like that, so yeah...
  20. The same fanbase that tried to argue that DJ Moore wasn't a #1 WR is now gonna try to sell me that Courtland Sutton is a "strong WR1"?
  21. Yeah, 3-4 LBs are expected to take on a lot more blockers than a 4-3 LB. I honestly just don't see Chinn as a great fit there. I think he's getting traded.
  22. I'm just kinda baffled by it. Everything that has been said about this staff about our defensive scheme led me to believe we wanted to play with two deep safeties. Okay... then why Vonn Bell? Bell is very similar to Jeremy Chinn stylistically.
  23. It's true. But this WR market is REALLY bad. There's a reason why the Bear REALLY wanted DJ Moore. The draft is weak too, at least on the top end. I actually like the WR depth in this draft but it doesn't have the guys who project as potential stars.
