CMC definitely feels like a big missed opportunity for the Bills. His contract was very manageable via trade with us eating all the guaranteed money.

I'm honestly somewhere around 50% Young, 35% Stroud, 15% Richardson in terms of draft chances. That's strictly what I think is likely to happen in terms of reading the fig leaves. I hope the decision is already made. I hope it was made before we mortgaged our future on this trade.

Albert Breer on how the trade happened
LinvilleGorge replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think Packers fans are just super conservative by nature. It works out in terms of generally being competitive year in and year out but only getting two rings out of three decades of high level 1st ballot HOF play between Favre and Rodgers is flat out underachieving. Just no other way to frame it. -
Probably not the guys they're mentioning. I'd be looking at the non-1st round Clemson prospects. Two guys who come to mind are EDGE K.J. Henry and TE Davis Allen. I mean, Clemson is one of the top college football programs in the nation and they're virtually in our backyard. It'd be negligent not to have a strong presence there.

AR is just different though. It's all going to seem so obvious in hindsight. If he booms, well no duh. "How can a guy THIS talented not be great? How did you numbskulls not see this??? You're all fired!!!" If he busts, well no duh. "How can a guy who had such pedestrian stats and awful completion percentage in college ever translate to the NFL? How did you numbskulls not see this???? You're all fired!!!"

I think it's cool to see from the players too. They're all going to get paid fug you money. They're going to have generational wealth from these contracts. Better to sacrifice a bit of money that only really matters in terms of dick measuring bragging rights to keep the gang together and do some special things on the field. They could be this generation's Peyton Manning/Marvin Harrison/Reggie Wayne.
-
The three of them are colluding to make it work contractually. They want to stay together.

Anthony Richardson is going to get people fired. People are going to get fired for drafting him if he's a bust or people are going to get fired for passing on him if he isn't. Either way, Anthony Richardson is going to be behind some NFL pink slips.

You ain't getting Tee Higgins.

I can't take credit for the specific scenario with the Bengals. That was somebody else. I'd give credit if I recalled who.

I mean, Meyers would've been the 3rd highest paid WR in FA last year. Kirk's contract was eye popping but then the guy went out there and put up 1100 yards and 8 TDs so maybe the Jags weren't so crazy after all. The Rams did a dumb thing with Allen Robinson paying him for the guy he was a few years ago, not the guy he is now.
-
Right now, I think Bryce Young is the guy with Richardson as the dark horse. All the "PG mentality" stuff screams Bryce Young, but the "go be Superman on 3rd down" screams Anthony Richardson. I wish I had better insight on what they're thinking, I'm just trying to make wild speculations based on cherry picked comments.

Not sure it's as much of a reset as it is just a really, really weak FA WR class.

There's just no one on the FA market that excites me in the least. It still seems to me that Chinn might be getting shopped. Another poster yesterday mentioned the Bengals as a dance partner. They lost both their starting safeties yesterday and they have three WRs who are legit starting caliber. Chinn might be a lot more valuable to them than Tyler Boyd as a #3 WR and Tyler Boyd might be a lot more valuable to us as a #1 WR than Jeremy Chinn. Hmmm...

Knock it the fug off. That's one temp ban. The rest of y'all fuging quit it too. Knock it off doesn't mean to keep pointing fingers.

Don't fall in love with any particular QB prospect. You might get surprised.
-
Agreed. Chuba might have the worst hands of any NFL skill position player I've ever seen. Like the dude is trying to catch a football with tennis rackets. Just awful.
-
I'm ready for this level of excitement and optimism again. Let's go indeed.
-
I tried to go through and clean up all the petty bickering. Y'all knock it off.
-
I think he'll probably be back. I just don't see a big market for him. He's basically a runner only as the RB position is becoming increasingly involved in the passing game.

Free agency news is coming slow when Nick Mullens is getting headlines.
