  1. I think he really wants to prove he can have a high level of success post-Brady. It's all about ego IMO. Mac Jones ain't it and I think he knows it. Hell, might as well give Bailey Zappe a legit shot.
  2. I hope we lose them both because if we do that almost certainly means that we had one helluva season and wildly exceeded expectations.
  3. It's be awesome if Zavala was an upgrade for us. Not just for the starting lineup but for depth. One of BC's best value propositions is his versatility. The guy can play all over the OL. If Zavala can be the starter it wouldn't surprise me if BC isn't the all-purpose OL backup. Now he wouldn't be that on gameday. You can't practice and be ready to plug and play at any given position every week, but I'm the event of a season ending injury to a starter or even an injury that is going to keep a starter out several weeks, that's where you spend a week letting BC focus on that spot so that there isn't a huge drop off in OL play. That's a valuable player on your roster.
  4. I'm just really curious what the plan is for him. I'm not convinced that the staff has figured it out yet.
  5. Saying things like "prioritizing playing time" throws up red flags for me. You don't "prioritize playing time" for your starters.
  6. Who thinks CB is a strength? I think most Panthers fans realize that outside of Horn CB is a problem sport for us, especially with Jackson coming off of a torn Achilles.
  7. Tannehill is solid. A helluva lot better than I expect Ridder to be. Folks overlook that when the Titans won the division back to back years Tannehill threw for about 7500 yards and 50+ TDs. The Titans went 6-6 last year with Tannehill starting. They went 1-4 in the games he missed.
  8. This is generally a QB driven league. As your QB goes so generally goes your team. The smart money in the NFC South would be on the Saints or us. 30 years ago the Falcons might have been able to ride a great rookie RB and a much improved D to a division title. In today's NFL? Honestly I just don't see it. So who are you picking? Derek Carr or a rookie Bryce Young?
  9. Availability can be the best ability. He's gotta stay healthy.
  10. I would've probably put our O/U at 8.5 and considered the Saints the division favorite. Carr is the best QB in the division by a considerable margin until proven otherwise. I don't get the Falcons hype but I wasn't high on Ridder as a prospect either. The Bucs are tanking. I just hope they whiff in their efforts to land Maye or Williams.
  11. I don't mind it with these types of signings. Take a look at these guys and see if you can make something out of them. I didn't like trading up to take one already in his mid-20s in the draft though.
  12. This was SUCH a key part of the Pats' dynasty. It's a massive competitive advantage when you have a cakewalk to the division title every year and a significant leg up on home field advantage, bye week, etc. because your division is absolutely inept year after year.
  13. Don't. Pay. RBs. Just keep drafting them. But not in the damn 1st round.
  14. Kitty is thriving. I really didn't expect it to survive.
  15. Ben? As in Ben Roethlisberger? That dude had a cannon of an arm in his prime.
  16. Howell is gonna be a week one starter in year two. Corral hopes to actually be on an NFL roster in week one of year two. I rest my case on that one.
  17. I like that dude. Everyone basically wrote him off when he was mediocre at Bama and got yanked at halftime in the national championship game for Tua. Saban made the right call. Tua was the better QB at that point. Dude transfers to OU and is a legit Heisman candidate, gets drafted in the 2nd round, and is now a legit NFL MVP candidate. Hell yeah.
  18. Mahomes is on the GOAT track and that dude RIPS IT.
  19. We have a new head coach, completely new offense, and a rookie QB. I'm definitely alright with giving the rest of the NFL minimal footage to prepare. Bryce doesn't exactly "rip it". The kid can be a great NFL QB but he's gonna do it with what's between his ears more so than his physical attributes.
  20. The conundrums of camp. Is Robinson better than expected or is Mingo not as good as expected or was it just one play and we can't read anything more into it than that? Do we have him lining up at safety or at nickel? I honestly think nickelback might be his best position.
  21. He was signed to be a backup and vet mentor. We hope he never takes a meaningful snap in a game.
