  1. What a dumb penalty. The play was basically over.
  2. Once the announcers mentioned that 3.4 second average time to throw with Williams now I'm seeing it. Every time his initial option isn't there he basically gets frozen. Dude is one helluva talent but his processing has to speed up. He has another year of college ball to work on it.
  3. Maybe Utah got the message. They need to play power vs. speed on offense. USC can't stop them in the power game, but start going east-west and their speed shines.
  4. Holy poo. Utah fumbled again. Lucky to get back on that one.
  5. USC's red hot offense has cooled off. If Utah wasn't their own worst enemy on offense this would be a game.
  6. Welp, that's it. Baffling redzone play calling on the first drive, missed TD bomb on the second drive, and a fumble turnover on the 3rd drive. Utah just didn't even give themselves a chance to compete.
  7. Caleb Williams 3.4 second average time to throw? Yikes. That's not gonna translate to the NFL. He'll have to learn to unload a lot quicker than that. That would be slowest in the NFL by miles. https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/passing#average-time-to-throw
  8. Better than Sam Darnold is? Is this real life?
  9. I just don't see any evidence that our position coaches have these defensive kids prepared to play. The recruiting stars aren't translating. Sure, some recruits bust but when you have lots of highly recruited guys underperforming they aren't all busts.
  10. This is gonna get ugly. They couldn't afford to not connect on that long pass. That was a beautifully designed play. QB just missed by a hair and that was the difference between a TD and a three and out and a punt to a red hot offense from deep within your own territory. Utah has to get a stop here or this is already over.
  11. You gotta hit that pass. That's a TD with a decent throw.
  12. Our D just flat out sucks. I've given up hope they're gonna wake up. What we need is for Phil Longo to yank his head out of his ass because he's been pure garbage here lately. We need significant defensive staff changes in the off-season. There's too much talent on that D for them to be this bad and it's not just play calling. Blowing assignments left and right isn't going to get solves by better play calling.
  13. They really didn't. They were knocking USC back the whole drive taking it right at them and then tried to start going horizontal once the field shrank. They better score here or this is going to get out of hand quick.
  14. Williams looks gassed. If USC hadn't been wasting timeouts they could use one here. The delay of game might have been a good thing to get him a breather.
  15. Heading to BOA tomorrow for that one. I have a feeling that Tagovailoa is gonna be on a short leash.
  16. No clue why Utah punched USC in the mouth going north-south all the way down the field then tried to go east-west once they got inside the redzone. Had to settle for three.
  17. I've kinda resigned myself that we're going to really fug ourselves and won this awful division. Tepper deludes himself into thinking we've arrived instead of seeing the reality that this is an all-time awful division. He then rewards Wilks with a new contract to be the head coach. We then get the poo kicked out of us in a home playoff game by the Cowboys and reality sets in that we have not arrived, we still desperately need a QB, and now we're by far the worst team holding a pick in the bottom third of the 1st round. Talk immediately starts on whether Wilks will be a one year and done HC again and greatly hampers his ability to hire a quality staff. So basically, just business as usual in the Tepper era.
  18. I don't think so either. And yeah, if I was a betting man my money would be on the Chargers too.
  19. I'm still floored how anyone can watch that UNC team last year and come away with being down on Howell. Without Howell I'm not sure they win any of the P5 games on their schedule. They had one guy on the team that could catch a ball in Downs. Howell, a guy who had hardly ran at all previously had to turn into The Golden Calf of Bristol for Carolina to move the ball at all. I'm with you on the Richardson intrigued. It all comes down to his interviews and background checks IMO and unfortunately that's the stuff is fans are completely blind to.
  20. I'm talking about players not teams. Both had all the physical tools you could want but turned the ball over too much and just don't seem to have a great feel for the game.
