If Fitts thinks Corral is the answer just go ahead and fire him now and get it over with.

So basically, same as it ever was? This is the game we've been playing since we cut Cam. How's that working out?

Thinking of moving from SoCal to Western Carolina
LinvilleGorge replied to GOAT's topic in Huddle Lounge
I have to have mountains in my life. Just no way around that. -
I voted Steichen but I honestly don't have a super strong opinion on this. He or Johnson would be my top two but I just want a great coach. Whoever it is I'm just gonna hope they're great. Same with QB. I really don't want Will Levis but if we draft him then I'm just gonna hope I'm wrong and that he's a future HOFer.

So which QB do we think will be available at #9?
LinvilleGorge replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Like Sam Howell his first two seasons at UNC. Coaches specifically told him NOT to run because they didn't have a backup QB on the roster they trusted to put in the game. His third year, they had Maye and lost all their weapons so he basically had to start playing like The Golden Calf of Bristol in order to move the ball. -

Got any figures for QBs of prior draft classes? -

I think a lot of folks haven't watched much of UF games. If you had you'd notice all the balls bouncing off receivers' hands. -
How many QBs have made the type of accuracy improvements Allen has though? It's easy to say in hindsight that all he needed were massive mechanical overhauls but those almost never pan out. You need both. You need good evaluation and good coaching.

Beware drafting men who play amongst boys. Levis is as old as most second year NFL players. -
Sure he can. If the new regime's gameplan is to "pray for Maye".
-
Don't feel bad, we all are. So are NFL talent evaluators. There are busts and steals every year and every draft class would look a LOT different of you could redraft them a few years later.

Hickory is a poo hole. I think they've found three bodies in the last three days. That place is going to hell in a hand basket. Big enough to have city problems, not big enough to have city amenities. Morganton sucks too. Spread the word. Please. I'm afraid we're on the Brevard path. -
Would this be considered tanking?

If before noon it's the result of him still being drunk from the night before. -

It depends on his priorities and dreams. Maybe the guy grew up daydreaming about winning the Heisman. $4M is a lot of money but he'd be turning down a lot more as a seeming lock to be a top 10 pick with no guarantees of improving his stock for next year with guys like Drake Maye and Caleb Williams lurking. -

Bruh... the NCAA gonna have to do SOMETHING about this NIL poo if Ohio State outbids the NFL for CJ Stroud. -

I mean, naming an interim head coach that has no coaching experience beyond the HS level is about as blatant as tanking gets. -

Brevard is fuging ruined. I was up there this past weekend trying to fish the Davidson. Despite it being cool and dreary the river was packed. Every trailhead overflowing. It's over for that town. -
WR is definitely one of our top needs. DJ is a stud who is completely underappreciated by much of this fanbase but he's the only proven NFL WR we have on the roster.

I don't want to trade for Derek Carr and his current contract. I would not be opposed to signing Derek Carr as a FA. I just don't think I'd be willing to pay his likely market value. In the perfect world, Derek Carr on a reasonable 3 year deal with an out after 2 years and Anthony Richardson at #9 sounds like a helluva plan to me.
-
Carr is a considerably better NFL QB than Daniel Jones. Good grief.
-
What's wrong with the job Saleh has done thus far? They had a top 5 defense and nearly doubled their wins this year. They need a QB.
-
Exactly. There's two types of coaches who can afford to take on a project at QB - a new coach and a firmly entrenched coach.
