  1. Well, at least tonight we get to reap the tears of being the worst team in the league. The excitement of a fresh new #1 overall draft pick awaits us! Wait... what???
  2. your boat gently down the stream merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily life is but a dream
  3. I'd be shocked as hell is Bowers was available in the late 1st. If he falls out of the top 15. All the WR talent might push him out of the top 10. He'd be a top 10 lock in most drafts.
  4. They should be. The track record of these older one year wonders is atrocious. You basically have Joe Burrow to the positive and practically everyone else to the negative. You're talking about guys who are the age of most second year and some third year NFL players playing against college kids. You gotta grade them with a curve that reflects that.
  5. I doubt it. That Bryce trade really put a hurting on our draft capital. We need picks and bodies.
  6. I hope they pull it off. Maye in NE sounds like a worst case scenario.
  7. Agreed. Really good college WR but strikes me as a guy who succeeded largely because he was just physically superior to his competition. That rarely translates at the NFL level. You gotta have some technical soundness to your game or develop it fast.
  8. Yep, we're inextricably linked to Caleb Williams no matter what. Well, I guess unless the Bears throw a massive curve ball and don't draft him.
  9. When you're very limited in the physical talent department you pretty much need a perfect scenario. #1 overall picks walk into far from it.
  10. A lot of truth to this. Playing QB for the Bears just seems like you're doomed to fail.
  11. I was just really confused in his evaluations. Aside from mobility every other physical traits was subpar for the NFL level. Yet oddly seemingly everyone thought it just wouldn't matter. He was just THAT mentally superior. Usually draft prospects (QBs in particular) get absolutely nitpicked to death leading up to the draft. With Bryce it was the opposite. It was a neverending stream of excuses of why he would be able to overcome all of his shortcomings. Never seen anything like it.
  12. I think Caleb is a massive bust waiting to happen. He is supremely talented but yeah, he seems like he's a really bad mixture of very cocky and also mentally fragile. There WILL be bumps in the road at the NFL level. There's gonna be games where you just go out there and get your ass kicked. I'm not sure if he's built to handle that. I for sure think he's boom or bust. He's either really gonna translate or he really won't. I said the same about Cam. There's certain prospects that I just don't see a whole lot of room for them to be alright. They're either gonna come in and kick ass or just flop hard. People think I hate Bryce and I don't. He seems like a really good dude. I just don't think he has the physical talent to be a high level NFL starting QB.
  13. I wouldn't mind coming out of this draft with two WRs but 33 and 39 aren't our only two picks.
  14. Based on quite a bit of history, so is the NFL. At the end of the day, a lot of the responsibility for development lies on the individual. You just can't save some folks from themselves.
  15. When young people are struggling with commitment and maturity, throwing a LOT of money at them is rarely going to help with the situation.
  16. If there's a WR or OL so far ahead of the pack to be worth trading up from 36 to 33 then we should just take that player.
  17. Dontrez Styles to NC State. He dead to me now.
  18. A lot of time between picks #32 and #33. No reason not to pick up the phone and listen to any and all offers. You can always just say "thanks but no thanks".
  19. If we pick him I'll just hope for the best. He seems like a good guy and his country ass interviews will be hilarious either way.
  20. I very seriously doubt that. Older prospect one year wonder who blew up with an extra COVID year. The NFL track record of those types of guys so far is pretty awful and this is a stacked WR class. I honestly think he's a 3rd round value but that doesn't mean he won't be drafted earlier. It only takes one team to disagree.
  21. I'm not sure Chop or Ladd either one will be there for us but of the possibilities I'd love to have those two at 33 and 39.
  22. I hope not but this would be a very Panthers thing to do. We over drafted a big bodied measurables WR last year and he struggled mightily. Let's do it again!
