  1. Michael Vick past his prime never got ran down from behind by NFL DEs.
  2. Most of us weren't expecting to win a SB this year and we'll be plenty happy if we just see reason to believe that we've solved the QB problem.
  3. "In on every deal" is starting to look more like "call that sucker in Carolina".
  4. When you're 0-3 and pretty much look like poo a 3rd round rookie is pretty far down the list of concerns. Especially when your #1 overall pick has looked mediocre and is out with injury. All the focus is on Bryce right now, which we all knew it would be for better or worse.
  5. The word was that his visit went terribly and he rubbed everyone the wrong way. Maybe he just didn't want to be here.
  6. Fitts is more and more looking like Hurney 2.0. I haven't seen much to be impressed with.
  7. The guy is a 25 year old rookie who bounced around the roster in college with his coaches trying to find a spot to make use of his athletic talents. It was always a baffling pick to me and a pick they forced IMO. Seemed like they were hell-bent on drafting an edge rusher relatively early and panicked when they started flying off the board. I said as much when the pick was made.
  8. Well, this ran it's course. Now we just have people spending time on the Huddle bitching about how awful the Huddle is. That makes a lot of sense.
  9. We'll see how he progresses over the course of the season. My primary concern is that so far it looks like both of my concerns about Bryce pre-draft were valid. Those concerns being how his physical tools would translate to the NFL (mobility and arm) and durability. Through two games we've seen him not be able to escape, his arm look below average, and missed a game. I'm just not convinced that his mind is going to be able to overcome the physical deficits but it's still very early and we'll see.
  10. We're a dumpster fire but is Houston really any better of a landing spot?
  11. No disagreement there but giving up 14 QB pressures is just unreal for an individual OL.
  12. PFF game him a 0 pass blocking grade against the Seahawks. He gave up 14 QB pressures. FOURTEEN.
  13. I was really hoping that Tepper was going to occupy himself with the business side of the house.
  14. I don't know, they've pretty much never had a legit top tier QB in their looooong franchise history. Probably not much they wouldn't give up to secure one and so far CJ has looked the part. No one would care that we're 0-3 of Bryce was playing like that. Then again, we wouldn't be 0-3 if that was the case.
  15. We didn't have the 49ers roster either. DJ is the equivalent of a 1st. Two 2nds are about the equivalent of a 1st. We gave up about four 1st rounders worth of value. Definitely not peanuts and yeah, if Bryce doesn't work out we're gonna feel it for awhile.
  16. If Bryce doesn't work out the dinners need to stop. We ended up with Matt Rhule because of Hurney shoveling meatballs down his throat.
  17. Two 1sts, two 2nds, and a proven starting WR is "peanuts"?
  18. My dad got one about a year ago. I'm thoroughly unimpressed. I have a small egg I do most of my grilling on. Have a big old school side offset wood smoker for the heavy lifting. Zero gas. I was forced to primarily grill on propane the 14 years I lived in CO because burn bans were the norm during the summer.
  19. Yep. Ultimately if Bryce pans out we're going to be fine. If he doesn't we're going to flounder for more years to come. It is what it is.
  20. I supported trading CMC since he was doing nothing for us at the time and honestly, I wanted to see what he could do with a contender. We were just wasting him.
  21. Sons of former players tend to be smarter about the business side of the game.
  22. We've been hamstrung by organizational ineptness. It's pretty much been a disaster ever since Beane and company walked out the door. Look at the Bills. Look at us. Beane systematically gutted us of all of our organizational talent and I don't blame him. He was the heir apparent and JR waited a few months too long to throw his hissy fit and fire Gettleman. Though honestly, I think Beane would've taken the Buffalo gig anyway. Hindsight has proven that Gettleman deserved to be fired but ironically what got him fired (standing up to JR giving aging TD and Olsen career achievement contracts) he was actually right about. He deserved to get fired but he actually got fired for all the wrong reasons.
  23. McGlassfrey? I told y'all not to be surprised if he suddenly becomes much more durable if he's traded to an actual contender. Lo and behold...
  24. Because they don't know football but their egos won't allow them to surrender decision making ability to people who do. Tepper is really good at moving numbers around on spreadsheets to make incredibly wealthy people even more wealthy. I have no idea what Nicole Tepper is good at.
  25. It is waaaaaay too early to talk about Bryce being a bust. If he doesn't improve over the course of the season then I'll start to really worry.
