I wouldn't say a guaranteed W but they'd at least give you a chance. Bryce didn't give us a chance and THAT is precisely the problem. He was right back to scrambling around looking timid and unsure, taking bad sacks, and badly missing throws. And that was with the refs throwing flags to give us second and third chances. He still couldn't manage to move us an inch.

I mean, he wasn't lying. He only promised that our days of mediocrity were over and they were. He didn't elaborate and tell us that he was gonna turn us into a bottom dweller.

His confidence had to have been soaring after feasting on soft zone all second and yet he STILL reverted right back to his timid, unsure looking self as SOON as we actually had a shot at the end. The switch just absolutely flipped off. He's just a different QB when there's something on the line. And I mean that in the absolute worst of ways. Some QBs are gamers. Jake was famous for looking mediocre in practice and turning it on during games and being at his best in big moments. Bryce is the opposite of that. Sn anti-gamer if you will.

No it's not. Because when the game is actually being decided and the opposing team isn't playing Charmin soft defense Bryce can't do poo. That's the whole point. Y'all fall for fool's gold and when today's second half PERFECTLY demonstrated this you still have to try to "but, but, but" your way around it. They guy is TRASH unless the opposing D is playing soft to protect a multiple score lead. Period.

He was trash early when the game started, he padded stats against prevent D trailing multiple scores in the 2nd half, then he IMMEDIATELY turned back into trash again even with the refs desperately trying to drag him across the finish line as soon as there was shockingly something to play for at the end. You just can't allow yourself to admit it.

I already have in this thread. I would've loved to have seen Bryce prove me wrong but he didn't. He always fails when there's something to play for. You're mad at me for pointing that out for some weird reason but it is what it is. If he's not playing against soft zone coverage and containment pass rush against a team comfortably leading by multiple scores he's fuging trash and you know it. Don't be mad at me for that.

I mean, you have to be intentionally blind to this not to see it. He's Peyton Manning when he's padding stats against soft zone coverage with the pass rush focusing on containment. He's Arch Manning when there's something on the line and the D is actually gunning for him versus just focusing on not giving up a quick chunk play.

I would've been THRILLED if Bryce had proven me wrong on that last drive but be honest, deep down you knew what was coming because Bryce has already shown you who he is. Being delusional about it doesn't change that.

Well, for one because he does. But also because we mortgaged the franchise to draft him. A lot of the holes on our roster are directly downstream of all the assets we had to give up to draft him. We made that move because we thought he could carry us past it. But honestly, that second half says EVERYTHING. He was riding high when he could sit back there comfortable against soft zone and folded like a lawn chair as soon as it mattered and the Cardinals had to actually D up again. He's a stat padder against soft zone. Even with a bevy of questionable penalties giving us second and third chances. Did we actually gain any yardage that wasn't by flag on that drive? The Jekyll and Hyde is so obvious. He can't do poo unless the game and/or season is out of reach.

The refs are desperately trying to give us this game. If Bryce can't pull this off it's never gonna happen.
