CFB conference championship games
LinvilleGorge replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oregon really needs points here before half. If they can score here and get the ball after half they can get back in this game but they just haven't completed up until this point. -

Oregon desperately needs a score. Washington still dominating. 17-3 Washington. -

This Muhammad CB for Washington has been sticking to guys like glue in every Washington game I've seen. He has marginal NFL size but I could see him being a very good NFL nickel. -

Oregon is very fortunate not to be down 17-0. Ward airmailed a guy striking down the sideline wide open on 3rd down. -

Oregon goes three and out again. This is about to be a blowout. -

Washington just doing whatever they want early on. 10-0 Washington. Washington has ran 20 plays for 98 yards, and 10:49 time of possession. Oregon has ran 3 plays for 0 yards and 25 seconds TOP. If Oregon doesn't show up very soon this is gonna get out of hand pretty quickly. -
Oregon looks completely awful early on against Washington. Washington definitely goes to the playoffs if they win.

I'm just gonna be honest, he's maybe made a total of ten throws all season that I wouldn't expect practically any roster caliber NFL QB to be able to make.

Possible GMs IF Scott is Fired.
LinvilleGorge replied to Panthercougar68's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's just a rubber stamp for Tepper. Just like any other GM hire would be. This one has just proven he'll quietly do the job and not make a fuss about it so why fire him? -
Of course he doesn't want to be here. This is CMC all over again. Nagging injury keeps him out longer than expected, team is worse than expected, he just doesn't return. I told everyone not to be shocked if CMC suddenly got more durable if he gets out of here and goes to a contender. Now look at him in SF. Guys don't want to be here. We're a dumpster fire. Would you honestly want to be here if you were a player? It's a paycheck while they're biding their time to get the hell out. Sons of former players tend to be a lot smarter about the business side of the game. Yeah, you might get praise for roughing it out through injuries on bad teams, but no one's going to be there for you of the injuries lessen your performance. You'll just get tossed to the side and the team and league will move on. You gotta look out for yourself. If there's something to play for, that's one thing. But it's an entirely different situation when you're playing on one of the worst teams in the league. That might not be what folks want to hear but that's reality.

Next? Hell, he'd be the first.

A hallmark of the Tepper era has been the lack of a team. We've had collections of players who soon realize this team is hopeless so they quickly just start looking out for themselves and their career. Just get through this, try to put some good individual play on film and try to preserve the tread on the tires.

Just read that quote. He ain't suiting up again this year and honestly I don't blame him. Next year is pivotal and he knows it. He has to prove he can stay on the field. Playing in a few meaningless throwaway games this year isn't going to change his future value in the least... unless he came back and got hurt again.

Well, that was anticlimactic. The Seahawks just completely blow a protection assignment and leave Micah Parsons completely unblocked off the edge on 4th and 2.
-
Whoa. Dallas throws on 3rd? That stops the clock and gives the Seahawks a legit shot.
-
Looks like Seattle is cooked barring a borderline miracle. Damn good game though.
-
Ouch. The Seahawks turning it over on downs at midfield hurts. That Lockett drop is looming large right now. He catches that on 1st down and it's 1st and 10 already on the verge of FG range. Instead they end up turning it over on downs.
-
I assess that he looks terrible. His feet are all over the place so he's not ready to throw and ends up late even when he sees it. Yes, the offense around him is broken. But simply evaluating his play by itself, it's not good. At all. Will a better system and surrounding talent help him? We all hope so, but man he looks really damn bad.
-
Well damn, that was some beast mode poo out of Dak right there. How did that guy NOT sack him?
-
Yikes. That was a gift of a DPI.
-
Oof. Two Cowboys' DBs run into each other leaving DK Metcalf wide open casually jogging across the back of the endzone.
-
This is the best TNF game I can recall. That's a pretty damn low bar but this is a really good football game.

This. At least with Rhule everyone could commiserate and bash that grinning, guffawing ass clown trying to stammer his way through an excuse-fest in the presser after every loss. Reich was just... there. There wasn't even anything to hate. He was just there.
-
That was a helluva defensive play.
