  1. I haven't advocated trading the farm for a draft prospect either. Inability to stay healthy is a HUGE red flag.
  2. There's no fair trade value for an elite franchise QB in his prime. If one is potentially available, it's a huge red flag. Watson's red flag was obvious. Wilson looks washed. What's Lamar's red flag? I'm for letting someone else mortgage their franchise to find out.
  3. We'll see. Blue bloods are judged by March.
  4. As a Carolina fan I obviously despise Duke, but yeah that was some bullshit.
  5. And he's older than the vast majority of draft prospects. I'd feel differently about him if he was a redshirt sophomore but this guy shouldn't be so raw at this stage.
  6. Don't do it. Look at the two teams that traded king's ransoms for QBs then proceeded to give them massive contracts to boot this past off-season. They suck and they have limited resources available to change that.
  7. Yeah, I think Bacot is a long shot in the NBA but I think he has a chance. I hope Hubert that Hubert will develop that part of his coaching. We'll see.
  8. This. Fitts turned down the best picks package we were gonna get for him. If he's moved at this point it's to go get a QB.
  9. Bacot isn't a floor stretcher on offense like an NBA 4 needs to be and he lacks ideal height/length for a 5 and he's a subpar NBA athlete either way. Do I think he can play in the NBA anyway? Honestly, yeah I think he has a chance. Anyone who can rebound like he can does. Yeah, you don't wanna be the guy who follows the guy. We'll see how it goes for Hubert. I'm rooting for him. But he has to start getting more committed to developing depth. You just can't rely on riding five guys constantly. I think it's a big reason why we're so hot and cold as a team. Usually when you're cold you look to your depth to provide a spark and turn the tide. We don't. There's nowhere to look for that spark.
  10. That was the line last year and I bought it. But there's real talent getting splinters in their ass this year.
  11. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Bacot is back again next year taking advantage of the opportunity for an extra year due to COVID. He's not considered a good NBA prospect. He can probably pocket more in NIL deals next year than he can make playing pro ball. His pro opportunities would still be there afterwards.
  12. I expected Washington to start eating into his minutes over the course of the season. I don't know why it isn't happening. Hubert just doesn't seem interested in developing a bench. He wants to ride or die with his starting five. Which is weird for a product of old school UNC basketball. Dean Smith always went at least 8 deep with core players, oftentimes 9 or 10.
  13. Bacot gave them a shape up or ship out talk.
  14. Hey, that actually looked like Tar Heels basketball in the first half.
  15. A long time between now and draft day. Enjoy the ride.
  16. I mean, we had a ton of guys go to bat for Wilks. The biggest thing Saturday has going for him might end up being the only thing that actually matters - he's the guy Irsay evidently wants.
  17. Unless we're talking about whoever won this year's putrid NFC South. That team was always going to be cannon fodder in the playoffs and that's why I wanted no part of being that team and costing ourselves a lot of draft position to do it.
  18. Me too. But that basically just means I think the odds are higher than zero. I'm still not convinced they're actually decent odds.
  19. I think the coaching will be legit. Can they solve the QB problem? That's the question.
  20. I'd be shocked but crazier things have happened. The rookie wage scale has made it far more tempting to pull the trigger on QBs high in round one.
  21. People are talking about Wingstop as if it's a legit source of wings and arguing for ranch over blue cheese? What in the actual fug is this bullshit?
  22. Translation: we are getting the outcomes we want. My confidence in the integrity of NFL officiating was irreparably damaged by SB50 and then watching the exact same thing happen again on opening day of 2016 just to prove the point.
