  1. Checkdown, checkdown, throwaway, checkdown. Fug, I'd rather watch INTs. This is just really boring, uninspired football.
  2. Just give the Lions a W and us an L and let's call it a day. That's two serious injuries in like three plays.
  3. How bad is this injury? The stadium looks and sounds like a funeral. I hope Zavala is okay.
  4. He was trying to throw a screen. The defender was maybe at most 6 feet away from him. There was minimal chance for a completion and zero chance for a positive play.
  5. Zavala should've been on the bench long ago. The kid was clearly not ready to play at the NFL level and now he's potentially been seriously injured. They should take a long hard look at Bryce and make a similar judgement.
  6. That absolutely cannot happen. Even if that had been completed it's going to be a TFL.
  7. Reich's face and demeanor said it all. "Oh wee mayne. Here we go again."
  8. Wasted challenge. Clearly a catch. Good job by Chark to get down there and dig that ball off the turf. It wasn't a good throw but it doesn't matter. That's your WR making a play to help the confidence of a struggling QB.
  9. Watch the game Andy Dalton played. See the difference. I don't think our coaching is great, don't get me wrong. But I also realized these guys have a lot of experience in the NFL and it's probably not as bad as we hope it is to cause Bryce to look this bad either. Then there's that small inconvenience of watching Dalton throw for 350+ yards and 2 TDs with this same staff, same OL, and same weapons.
  10. We already made our huge play for a guy we viewed as a generational talent.
  11. Yeah, other guys fumble too. Even guys with prototypical size. Bryce has fumbled in every games he's played so far though.
  12. No, it's quite the opposite. Manziel and Darnold didn't have it between the ears. Manziel was just an all around idiot and Darnold just didn't process information fast enough after the snap. Bryce just doesn't look to have the physical ability.
  13. He looked really good in the first 20-25 minutes. Accuracy consistency has been his biggest issue in the NFL though.
  14. If we don't see signs of hope over the next two games the primary Panthers discussions during the bye are likely going to revolve around Bryce and the B word. Stroud lighting it up and Richardson looking better early than most anyone would've predicted isn't helping matters.
  15. A Miami fan mentioned something about trying for some type of record. No clue what but you can't get caught up in that type of stuff. You gotta just focus on the task at hand and do what's best for your team. UNC pulled Drake Maye out of the game yesterday with nearly 10 minutes to go despite being in the redzone and Drake being on the cusp of his best game ever. But we were up huge late and it was an opportunity to get other guys meaningful snaps to help in their development.
  16. Honestly though, I knew it was bad but I had no idea it was THIS bad.
  17. In short, it's just not translating. Being a great college player doesn't automatically translate to being a great NFL player. There's a long history of great college players not translating to the NFL. It's usually one of three things. 1. The player lacks the physical tools to replicate the same success at the NFL level. 2. The player lacks the mental tools to replicate the same success at the NFL level. 3. Off-field stuff. The primary factor limiting Bryce's success so far couldn't possibly be more obvious and it's not because he's a dummy on or off the field.
  18. Bryce right now is like the guy limping around on the apron laps down just out there trying to accumulate some more points. I stopped watching NASCAR decades ago so hopefully they put a stop to that nonsense, but that's the racing equivalent of this approach to quarterbacking.
  19. The International Series and Thursday Night Football games are consistently just bad football games. It doesn't take geniuses to figure out why.
  20. By "Houston, Indy and Chicago" I hope you mean Because I don't see how we're going to beat any actual NFL teams right now.
  21. Honestly, step one is probably just taking away his audible power for awhile. Let him focus on simply reading the defense pre-snap. Instead of trying to read the D plus get us into the right play. Just force him to run the play as called.
  22. I don't know but I think it's drawn on a napkin with crayon.
  23. Idiotic coaching call leads to an opportunity for the refs to botch a call leads to a dumbfounded defense already celebrating escaping with a W going back out on the field unprepared to give up two big plays and the L.
