  1. I think all that "bridge" talk is over. You don't give up all that we did to draft a kid to sit behind a guy like Sam Darnold. This kid is playing day one.
  2. I think it signals that he's just not part of the plans moving forward and is probably highly unlikely to be on the final roster. If we try to put him on the PS he'll likely get plucked. So if you can get a late round pick just take it and move on.
  3. I sincerely hope Hubert proves me wrong. I'm just not seeing any signs of actual coaching, player development, and zero concept of how to manage substitutions and rotations. At this point of Hubert works out long-term it'll be shocking. I'm rooting for him but I don't think it's gonna work out.
  4. Three 1sts and 2nds... oh wee mayne. Where's Kevin Costner?
  5. I wouldn't have given up two 2nds plus DJ in that case then. Two 2nds plus DJ is a helluva lot more value than a future 1st.
  6. And if Young was a little bigger it would be an easy pick to go with Young. If UF receivers could catch it might be an easy pick to go with Richardson. I don't see the slam dunk #1. I hope our staff does.
  7. Trading up to #1 to draft Richardson would terrify me and I'm a big proponent of AR's talent. You can make a very compelling argument he's the most talented QB prospect ever. He was my guy at #9 of he was available. AR is going to get people fired. People are going to get fired for drafting him if he's a bust and people are going to get fired for passing on him if he's a hit.
  8. Honestly, I would've gave up the three 1st rounders. An additional 1st is a LOT more palatable than two 2nds and DJ Moore IMO.
  9. You're backpedaling pretty hard now. I don't give a fug. If we win the division with an all new staff and a promising rookie QB I'mma be up front on this hype train like Choo CHOOOOOOOOOOOO MUTHAFUGGA!!!!
  10. I sure hope so. If we get a Burrow-tier QB out of this deal then it was a great trade. But now we need receivers.
  11. The whole thing was just CYA. Everyone knows that tampering is a way of life. Having this "legal tampering" period just removed the awkwardness of having complicated multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts signed mere minutes after FA opened while pretending all that got negotiated out and agreed to in less than ten minutes. It was always completely absurd. This is just window dressing
  12. Basically just making what has always happened legal. Used to be most of the big name FAs would ink deals mere minutes into FA. Everyone knew that you weren't hammering out multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts in mere minutes. So now it looks better on the surface. It's all window dressing. There are already FAs who know where they're going and what they're getting.
  13. Making a huge trade to land a #1 overall QB while parting ways with your starting center and only proven NFL WR in the process...
  14. I just seriously doubt it would work. I have a feeling that the hugely prevalent thought around the league is that we're taking either Stroud or Young so Amy talk of trading out of one of the two spots is just not gonna happen. You don't trade up to #1 overall and then try to get cute and end up missing out on the guy you traded up to get
  15. Yeah, the NFL really likes to keep the lid on topping picks prior to draft day. And I think the Panthers are going to enjoy being on the spotlight for awhile controlling things sitting on the #1 pick. So I think we already know who we're picking? Honestly I'd be shocked and horrified of we didn't. You don't make a trade like this without having THE guy in mind.
  16. KC has done it the better way but not everyone can have the greatest QB of his generation paired with arguably the greatest offensive coach of all time. I sure wish we'd done what the Rams did when we still had Cam. Well, we kinda did. At least half of the equation anyway. We nailed the "blow it all to hell" part.
  17. Bacot hitting the portal would NOT help UNC. I think there's virtually zero chance of that happening. That dude bleeds Carolina blue. I think he's going to look at his pro prospects and realize that making $1M+ in NIL money in Chapel Hill and a pass first PG coming in next year's class is his best bet, both in the short and long term.
  18. Recently. The Jets have a ring recently?
  19. A new low is a fan of a ringless team mocking a team that recently won a Super Bowl while we're enjoying year after year of top 10 picks. Our "Super Bowl" is coming up. It's the draft.
  20. Nothing to laugh about. They took their shot and it paid off. I sure wish we had sold out and went all in at some point when we had Cam. The whole "we'll get 'em next year" attitude hasn't really worked out all that well for the Panthers.
  21. He does. I'm hoping he comes back. We actually have a really good pass first PG coming next year. I wanna see Bacot play a year of college ball with a guy like that.
  22. Love really should transfer. He's not developing here and overall I think he's holding the team back. He needs to play for a coach that will help him play within himself and help him with his own court decision making. Hubert's no consequences, constant green light coaching style is not what Caleb Love needs.
  23. If it wasn't for that fluke tourney run last year Hubert would be fired.
