  1. I've been to Austin quite a few times because the Cabela's in Buda is one of the top locations in the country and then they opened the Bass Pro in Round Rock. Yeah, summer is miserable. And I make brisket every bit as good at home and there ain't no stinkin' lines for days.
  2. I liked his talent coming into the draft and he had a promising rookie year for a mid-late round pick. My hope is that there's significantly more talent on this roster than we thought because the coaching was even worse than we thought.
  3. Ron's QB management philosophy in a nutshell.
  4. I'm worried for my guy Sam Howell. All the talk out of Washington's camp is that the OL looks atrocious. Evidently the interior OL is just a straight up sieve.
  5. Tonight was a good one. Reminds you why they're called the Blue Ridge Mountains.
  6. Lance was way riskier IMO. I'd rather roll the dice on a guy who is historically small but has shown the ability to play at an extremely high level at the highest level of football outside of the NFL vs. a guy who has great physical tools but only one year of playing at a D1AA program.
  7. My dad showed up the other day with a chicken biscuit from Bojangles for me. Best one I'd had in years. Actually had a good kick to it.
  8. The Jets' D with competent QB play could make noise but damn, that conference is so stacked. They're gonna need the MVP version of Rodgers to be a true contender and I'm just not sure that guy still exists with him knocking on the door of 40.
  9. It blew my mind watching the Niners trade so much value to take a guy that was so inexperienced.
  10. It's existed for years. TFL (tackle for loss). Stat category has been recorded since 1999. Terrell Suggs is the career leader. JJ Watt and Julius Peppers round out the top 3.
  11. 0 Beautiful deep ball completion. Looked calmer and more posed in the pocket. But just didn't consistently make plays.
  12. Oof. That's rough. If it won't put you in a financial bind I'd bounce. I don't see an overall housing crash coming but I think markets that were really overheated in recent years have some significant cooling off to do. Austin is near the top of that list.
  13. Wilson didn't look good minus the beautiful deep ball that showed off the arm talent we already knew he had. He did look a little more poised and patient in the pocket but just didn't make enough plays to sustain drives. Mond just looks awful. The only thing he can complete is a screen. He should've just thrown his second INT.
  14. Kellen Mond with an atrocious INT. Just threw it right to the defender trying to throw into perfectly bracketed double coverage. No pass rush pressure. Looks like he wants to cry. For good reason.
  15. Seriously, do they even realize there's a football game going on? I had no idea I was tuning into a Ronde Barber biopic.
  16. That's the stuff that's intriguing about Wilson. So glad we're getting to see a Ronde Barber childhood montage instead of a replay.
  17. Really liked him as a prospect but he just doesn't have it between the ears. Just seems like an entitled brat. He has all the physical tools in the world.
  18. It depends for me. Our division was historically atrocious last year. If the division is significantly improved we may have a similar win total even if we're heading the right direction.
  19. This season is about a complete restart. We have a new coaching staff and a shiny new #1 overall pick QB. I think most fans just want to get reassured that it looks like we've chosen well on both fronts and have reason for hope for the future. It's less about the win/loss record for me. We were all excited as hell about the future after Cam's rookie season despite losing a lot of games because we competed and we saw there was a lot of hope for the future. I wanna feel like that again. Anything more than that in terms of wins on the field would just be a very welcome bonus for me.
  20. Yeah, I get the seasonal stuff. We bought our house at almost 8k feet in elevation in CO in the winter. Nothing moves up there in the winter. Folks come up there and see three feet of snow on the ground and single digit temps and run back to Denver. We would've almost certainly lost a bidding war if that house had hit the market in the summer.
  21. Sproles was bigger. Still a very small NFL player, but bigger nonetheless.
  22. That sucks. Read through the appraisal carefully and do your homework for the rebuttal. Did the 150 less square feet play a significant role? If so, are you sure the measurement is correct? Appraisers aren't perfect. I had the opposite experience in the sale of my home in Colorado. The appraiser measured it almost 150 feet bigger than it was. I definitely didn't say anything but I measured the house myself before we closed when we bought it. The listed figure was within 5 feet of my measurement. The appraiser was wrong, but it was in my favor so sweet. I think he probably counted the downstairs bedroom twice. He was off by exactly that much.
