  1. Fitts made his decision to rely on signing an oft-injured vet, an over the hill vet, and a motley crew of unheralded, unproven youngsters. He traded his only proven WR to get his QB. I'm of the firm opinion of not letting Scott Fitterer mortgage anymore of our future on this current roster. If there's someone we can sign? Fine. Someone requiring us to trade significant assets for and then pay huge money? Nah, man. I don't have near enough confidence that you're the right guy for the future to let you do that.
  2. Gonna be interesting to see how the Giants bounce back from this humiliating drubbing by their biggest rival on national television in week one with hopes high. This is a potential season derailer.
  3. I don't think he lost his zip as much as his accuracy after the surgery. He just didn't seem like he could control the location of the ball well at all afterwards. He could still chunk it, they were just sprayed. It was just a different league back then. Jake was tied for 11th in the league with 15 INTs in '04 when he was 7th in yardage and 4th in TDs. 15 INTs led the league last year and he would've been 19th in yardage.
  4. They're blaming that "drop" on Hyatt but that ball was thrown well behind him and he had to do some acrobatics to even get hands on it. The boo birds are OUT. Man, sucks for these Giants fans. What a punch in the gut this has been for a fanbase that expected to be making a lot different noise tonight.
  5. No. I couldn't be and remain sane. We've been terrible for years now. Yeah, I still watch but I'm way less emotionally attached. It has zero impact on the rest of my day when we lose now.
  6. This is just inaccurate. People want to act like Smitty made Jake but they conveniently ignore that Jakes best statistical season came when Smitty was on IR with a broken arm. Jake threw for nearly 4000 yards and 29 TDs and Smitty accounted for 6 of those yards and 0 TDs. He was 7th in the NFL in passing yards and 4th in passing TDs with no Smitty and Keary Colbert as his second leading receiver. Jake was a good QB and then fell off a cliff when the Tommy John surgery was a failure.
  7. I always wonder how the QBs from those elite handful of teams will handle things when their team isn't head and shoulders better than the competition nearly every week. I know Bama was typical Bama Bryce's final season but at Bama that means having a top 10 roster instead of the typical top 3 roster. You're still only playing a coupe of games where you're not the superiorly talented team on the field.
  8. Thank goodness. The Giants convert that 4th and 5 from midfield. There's still a slight chance they can make a game of this but if they'd failed to convert that... oh wee mayne.
  9. This is a disaster. Jones is in full meltdown mode. That should've been a pick, very possibly a pick six.
  10. It's wild how sometimes one or two plays can just send a game spiraling out of control. The Giants were rolling on their first drive until a bad snap on 3rd down led to a long FG that got blocked and returned for a TD. It's just been a complete poo show ever since.
  11. I'm definitely not sold on Fitts being the answer. Trading your only proven WR when you're mortgaging the future to trade up to get a QB is... well, interesting.
  12. Man, this is UGLY. Not even halftime yet and it's about time for the Giants to start thinking about how to get out of this one healthy because they're getting wrecked.
  13. Dialing up a QB keeper for your huge money QB who really isn't much of a runner anyway when you're dominating the game and up 19-0? That seems reckless.
  14. I just don't think Jones much of a passer but yeah, he doesn't have a chance tonight. This Cowboys' D is just ALL OVER the Giants.
  15. Our first game may have been underwhelming but at least we aren't getting absolutely blown out on national TV by our biggest rival when we were expected to be a damn good team. Oh wee mayne.
  16. People still complaining about losing press conferences and towels on sidelines are just telling on themselves. No clue how you could remain a fan of a team when you obviously hate the star player for a decade.
  17. What about your favorite QB Tom Brady?
  18. Oh wow. Cowboys with their second non-offensive TD of the game and it's still the 1st quarter.
  19. I'm a Panthers/Howell fan. Howell just happens to play for the Commanders.
  20. I was very wrong about Parsons. I didn't want another off the ball LB high in the 1st. Never imagined he'd evolve into an elite pass rusher. He had 6.5 sacks in his entire college career.
  21. I shudder to think what this Cowboys' pass rush is likely to do to the Commanders' OL.
  22. Oof. Giants with a great first drive derailed by a bad snap on 3rd down followed by a blocked FG returned for a TD by the Cowboys. What a brutal kick in the teeth.
  23. I hope that's how Reich will work and not let his ego make him double down.
  24. I thought our play calling was better with Brown on the headset in the preseason games.
