  1. Now that I've beat up JT for some of his worst work, if you want to see some of his best watch his week one breakdown of Howell. Now everyone knows I'm a Howell fanboy but this one came across really fair and unbiased and pointed out some good stuff - both good and bad - that's easy to miss just watching the game. He even caught himself a couple of times and admitted that some of his critique on certain plays was getting really nit picky.
  2. I don't know but it came across really obviously IMO and kinda distracted from pretty much everything else for me.
  3. I think he's credible. He's certainly spent a ton of time breaking down film with NFL coaches and sitting through QB room meetings in the NFL. I do think his biases are getting in the way though. I enjoy his breakdowns for the most part, this was just the worst one I've seen though to be fair I've probably only watched maybe 8-10 of his breakdowns so in all fairness he could potentially have a lot of bad ones.
  4. Doesn't sound good. I hope the kid is okay and doesn't fall back into bad habits. Being an NFL bust but getting a nice financial headstart in life via an NFL contract is far from the worst thing in the world. Crushingly disappointing, absolutely. But I hope he can take the time to reflect and realize that in the grand scheme of things he still has a pretty sweet setup here and I'm sure there's still a future for him in the game of football if he wants it even if it's not as a player in the NFL.
  5. Don't come crawling back if we do significantly better.
  6. Based on what TCU did last year but they lost pretty much their entire offense and they were a team carried by offense. That number beside their name was a nod to last year's achievements and last year culminated in one of the worst beatdowns of all time in a high level championship game. They're not good. Significantly worse than I expected. It was a combo of CU being significantly better than expected and TCU being significantly worse than expected.
  7. Lots of knowledgeable folks don't have the physical ability to do. How many great coaches were great players? Hell, Bill Belichick will tell anyone that will listen that lacrosse is his true passion. I do respect the long-term backup QBs. You gotta prepare every week as if you're the starter because on any given play you might be the starter, but the vast majority of the time You're not going to play. It takes a pretty high level of dedication to do that week in and week out for years.
  8. Both were late throws across the middle with a safety lurking. Exact same? No. Extremely similar? Absolutely.
  9. One of our DL said after the game that the South Carolina OTs were tipping their hand pre-play whether it was run or pass based on how they were lining up. I believe it because that defensive performance seems like an anomaly in recent years.
  10. We've been waiting for our D to show up for years. The South Carolina game gave me some real hope but then the App game was back to looking like a matador again.
  11. Once folks have made up their minds about something it's really hard for them to sway their opinion. I was wrong about Herbert. I was wrong about Josh Allen. It looks like I was probably wrong about Justin Fields. I was wrong about Micah Parsons. It happens. Everyone is wrong sometimes.
  12. Olsen barely had over 500 yards his first year here while splitting time with Shockey. He didn't start becoming the Olsen we know until his second year here and truly blossomed starting year four.
  13. Look at their schedule objectively and try to get them a game over .500 at best. I think Oregon beats them by three scores and introduces some reality to the runaway hype train.
  14. I wouldn't do that. CSU is completely terrible.
  15. It's nowhere close to an hour from Denver to Boulder unless there's heavy traffic. It's the equivalent of Charlotte to Rock Hill.
  16. There's a reason College Game Day is heading to Boulder for this pretty awful game. They gotta take advantage of this hype train before CU's schedule gets real. They're gonna end up around .500 at the end of the season.
  17. I like his breakdowns but he definitely carries a lot of bias. If it was a QB he already had a negative opinion about he would've skewered him for throwing late across the middle and just absolutely trashed him for making the same mistake twice in one game leading to INTs both times. Not to mention bashing him for missing Thielen wide open multiple times. That's still baffling to me. Thielen was getting wide open often, Bryce wasn't throwing him the ball, and JT bashes Thielen for this? Wild.
  18. Had already made family plans to head to the mountains today so I had to turn down free UNC tickets that landed in my lap this morning. Going down to see them play Syracuse on a couple weeks anyway.
  19. I normally really enjoy his breakdowns but this one was just bad. I don't know if he has a personal issue with Thielen or what, but his palpable dislike for him honestly kinda overshadowed everything else for me.
  20. As long as it's optional, fine. I'm there to watch the game. All that added graphics is just distracting IMO.
  21. Yeah, I just started following Sam Howell a few weeks ago. Meanwhile, you're slobbering over Dieon, Mahomes, USC, whoever has a big game any give week, whoever the talking heads are hyping up, all the whole supposedly being a UNC and Panthers fan. You're just a hype train fanboy.
  22. Your ability to bandwagon hop is pretty wild.
